Scoring 10 points in 3 games is embarrassing. Even Widnes have scored 48. 2 tries in 240 minutes of rugby. Our play the ball is so slow, really showed today.

I would give Sam wood a try at stand off he is one of the few that came out of today with any credit . Muzza had a shocker chasing shadows all afternoon way off the pace johonno no impact. We can't just stick as we are . Qlt showed what is achievable with an attacking player .who the opposition has to watch closely Thought their no 31 was just what we need. He has certainly put the spark in Salford.

You mean that NRL player? Im sure our board are putting a deal together for him as we speak. Infact why don't we see if we can nick Lui off them as well at the same time.

The scoreline really should not be a surprise given how much quality Salford have got but I thought our performance was below par. Our ability to make it look hardwork to score points even against championship sides was always going to show up against much better opposition when the pressure was on and as has been said 2 trys in 3 games is appalling. It would be acceptable if it were our 1st year in the top 4 and we do not know what to expect but this happens year on year so I would expect the coaching team to be working towards fixing this problem and you would hope this would be addressed in the off season although I really cant see us changing any key positions once again.

We were slow at the PTB and their defence was quick, hence Grix’s pass leading to a try. Their speed all round the park made a massive difference, but we’re not going to fix that this season.

May as well play some of the kids now so they can get the experience. We will not win a game in these 8's and Marshall must already know everything he can know about the players in the 1st team. Most are very good part time players, the best in the league, but way out of their depth when it comes to the business end of the season. If he does not give some of the kids a chance we might not find any who can kick on like CB has.

Not sure what Sam Wood brings to the team. I've not seen anything out of the lad that makes me think he's worth having.

All in all I was ready for home before the 1st half had finished. We aren't going to win those games, I'm not stupid but I didn't expect a show like that. Inability to keep hold of the ball just allowed them the opportunity to steamroll us. Disappointing to say the least

Bad day at the office today started by letting their fans in the South Stand, we let in some poor tries I hope we can get our Mojo back as we need to for the games ahead otherwise it will be another tonking at Hull KR, Widnes who will go for the jugular and at home to Leeds maybe London will have nothing to play for in the last game hopefully!
We must improve our attack and bring in at least one new half back for next season and somebody with pace PLEASE!!!!!

A comment I keep seeing on Facebook is that anyone who has played the game will understand and they will not be the ones moaning. Well I played the game for a number of years and I have watched the game for many decades and I can still tell you that performance was sub standard but it seems some fans and players are trying to gloss over it by saying we are trying to compete with a full time team who has spent x amount.

Anyone with a level head can see that and anyone who watches us regular will have expected quite a heavy defeat yesterday but for us to compete for decent amounts of the game but as I said before our performance levels were poor and a number of other people on here who have played the game are also saying the same thing. The reality is that if Salford hadn't removed both first choice half backs for the last 25 minutes or so we would have been looking at an 80 point loss. Other fans might be happy at just making the eights, Im not one of them.

One man doesn't make a team, but one man can make a massive difference. If Salford would have had Jackson Hastings for the full season they would have made the top 4 in Super league. Pure quality and there's nothing we could do about it.

Well that made next week an easy decision.Embarressing...outnumbered and 60 put on us at home to Salford.Nev er thought i'd live to see that day....

There is no substitute for pace and class and Salford had that all over the park. We have had a lesson in how to play rugby at a different level today. The league table doesn't lie and that is why they are top and we are bottom. The reality is they have been playing at a higher intensity week in week in the SL out and we haven't in the Championship . It's one to right off, learn from it and move on. as has been said we are not going to be able to fix it this year now so let's just support the team and hope that we make some calls next season that bring some pace and class into our team so we can continue to build for the future.

Don't beat yourself up, we been in your position many time & I am sure we will again. we still have a long way to go to secure our super league status. Only a few weeks ago it was all doom & gloom at Salford, just like us, you need to stick together.
Thank you for your hospitality yesterday, it is always a pleasure coming over to Halifax, I am old enough to have witnessed some fantastic encounters between both clubs.

I rarely put critical comments on Facebook because you get slated by the hardcore fans . Today was poor and wished I had saved my 20 quid. I can accept been beaten but what I cant accept is when we drop off tackles and make fundamental mistakes . Playing out yours sets is imperative at this level as is a good kicking game. Murrell been offered a new deal but what did he do yesterday? Hb is a key area of the team and I know Murrell is part of the furniture but sometimes tough decisions have to be made. Johnston offers a running threat but again his kicking game is poor. Off the field was nearly as bad as on it. Queuing 25 mins to get a drink. Salford fans in South Stand. Atmosphere was drowned out by away fans.
Don't get me wrong Salford are a class act and are probably too good for the middle eights. HB's were a different class.

As supporters shouldn't we be "supporting" the lads with maybe some "constructive" criticism, rather than moaning and groaning and bagging them? Shameful.

Lets look back on a fantastic season with some great performances from a team who play their hearts out.

Congratulations lads.

Soon we can soon look forward to next year with a few new names perhaps and hopefully beating the Bullys if they do get promoted (or if they don`t just get promoted directly by RFL to pooper league).

Sorry i must be positive about the RFL and the future of our wonderful game.

I've not posted about the game until now because it was so disappointing and I didn't want that to influence my thoughts.

Although Salford made a few mistakes, in general they were quicker of mind and foot across the park, as well as being generally stronger than us. You can't fault Fax for their fitness levels though, and you certainly couldn't say they didn't put a massive amount of effort throughout the game. We didn't play smart though and made far too many errors, some forced, some not. In the first half, we were done (at least) twice with a sweeping move from Salford where they shifted a load of players from one side of the field to the other. We didn't know how to handle it, and each time our players were so busy trying to work out who was going to get the ball, that they forgot to tackle the first receiver.

It was a game we were never going to win, but the scoreline was very disappointing. You just knew that Salford were going to score whenever they got close to our line, even when it was on the last tackle. Our goal-line defence was woeful.

We're pretty clueless in attack against better teams. Although we came close a few times, the execution of the plays always let us down (other than the one try we did score).

Regarding Jonno, I'm not sure I agree with the comments above. He needs a quality half-back partner alongside him and then he might just blossom into a great player at this level. I've defended Muzza resolutely, but I think this kind of opposition finds him out, and his body isn't quick enough or strong enough to cope with it. Time for a new number 6, but defo keep Muzza on the payroll in a mentoring capacity.

There seems to be a common misconception that people are not allowed an opinion unless its a positive one, it must be this social media mallarchy that has brought this about. It does not make one iota of difference if people on here use constructive criticism or not as they will have very little, if any, impact on the dealings the club make.
