Where I come from is to try and encourage change . Use what is available from wherever. If we don't break the mould you get exactly what you always got.

The best example I can think of where we missed an opportunity was Rawsthorne. He should have been playing first team months before Hull spotted him as a non contracted player at one reserve outing. Our loss shown in 40 yds of pace last week. Who was going to catch him? If they spotted him why hadn't we used him?

I am trying to push us into change before it's too late and despite all the commitment in the world we just accept our lot. But I still will be there in the cold shouting and encouraging this afternoon.

I do agree that we lack "sparkle" where it matters most, but fixing that isn't an easy task.

Poor spectacle, poor performance, poor crowd and poor ref. But two competition points for us. Will S was immense, and probably the difference between the teams on the day. The Rochdale lad who got MoM for them had a really good game.

What I will place on record is that Sion Jones will IMO play SL. It's up to our coaching staff to recognise what he and others have got for the maximum benefit of HRLFC. its time for changes big time. Use the options or lose them.

Good games from Sharp and most of the pack and as said, Jones stood out and could be a real find if he gets some game time.
Other than that normal service resumed, too much dropped ball when on attack or more accurately in the opposition half as any resemblence to attack is purely coincidental.
Our completion rate must be running at about 15% and then after putting in 3 or 4 good tackles giving the odd daft penalty away.
You end up just being glad we got the 2 points because it could easily have been 0.

Anyway, if next weeks game survives the weather we can all go to Mount Unpleasant and freeze out butts off and as a special treat hope we get the same ref.

I said before the game today would test how good or bad our cutting edge is and I think we got our answer blunt!
Terrible first half and I like others wonder how certain players are still in the team, we have 2 centres who never pass the ball so why still pick them? Our kicking game is hit and miss, more miss apart from the 40/20 off Muzza and that lucky bounce for one of our tries.
Thank goodness for Will Sharp our only real quality player, lots of effort in defence although 2 poor tries conceded today .
Must do much better at Batley next week or else that will be an even longer afternoon than today seemed!

We are definitely firing blanks at the moment on attack. Just became embarrassing yesteday and listening to post match interview from RM he admitted if he was opposition coach planning to play us he would know his side would be getting a lot of 'free' ball due to our errors. Anybody know what Jordon Lilley is doing at the moment? We need some form of spark at half back. I would also take a look at Barber/Woody to share those centre spots as I think we have run our course on wingers never getting a pass and bish bosh bash down that channel just isn't working.
it was a shambles at times yesterday but at least we got the two points which is vital already looking at how London/Tolouse and Fev are going.

agree try barber and Jwh in centres, dont think we need to look at players from other clubs tho like jordan lilley....My point is we av a reserves and 2 half backs playin well there so give them a go 1st, it cant be any worse than the combinations RM is using and if not up to it then maybe look at DR/loan signin..RM constantly on about Development pathway and reserves impressing, were is the development pathway then? It all sounds and looks good for RM but in reality its bull

It does appear that the 'senior' players in the team producing sub-par performances week in, week out, are indeed undroppable.

Tyrer, Murrell, Grix and Fairbank need to up their game. All senior players with Super League experience

Can't disagree regarding Tyrer, Murrell and Grix, but I though Fairbank did Ok. The only problem with taking those 3 (or 4) out of the team is that we do need to retain some experience on the pitch as well. There will be dynamics in the team that we, as supporters, don't quite appreciate. I agree we need to make some changes and somehow create some "sparkle", but wholesale changes could be disastrous if we come up against a team of experienced pro's that could take advantage.

I suppose that's why I went for evolution rather than revolution. Murrell as goalie if needed. Hopefully he won't be needed. Grix is the extra pair of hands a la Wigan style to feed a fullback attacking run.
Everyone else is on merit. But it's get a grip time. look at the reserves attacking shape because it looks exactly how the first teams should be , so whoever has sorted that probably needs to have more of a say and listened to for team selection.

Too many players have no pace and average skill levels, note not poor skill levels just average.
I keep saying it but where is the threat going to come from.
Ideally you need players with both of the above, speed and skill but there won't be many like that in the Championship unless you find a diamond and manage to hang on to him.
After that you need one of the other, either pace or better than average skill levels and I'm worried we have either.
RM commented that the opposition would love the amount of ball we cough up when playing us but if I were the opposition I wouldn't be having sleepless nights about our threat levels at the moment.
