I'd like to see Leigh stop up and another SL team come down purely to stop the RFL dismissing the whole 8's idea as a failure because of the yo-yo effect.
Also, on Widnes's 1.5 million, perhaps they should have spent some of it on a new coach.

I listened to the first half on the bbc feed (lacs radio, not biased in any way!) . It did seem as though Fax gave away easy yards with silly penalties, as has been said you cannot defend all day.
Fax recent results seemed to come from discipline and low penalties against, or is this the difference between the leagues, was the ref s/l or championship?
Not down and out yet but again the gulf is widening between the leagues, and without serious investment the championship is where Fax unfortunately will be for the foreseeable future.

Couldn't fault our effort, and spirit, we kept trying all the way.
Widnes were very good for the first 50-60 mins and gave us nothing.
A couple of things that didn't go our way could have made it interesting or closer, i.e the one against the head, the nearly tries, and the odd pass that didn't stick.
All in all, no complaints, Widnes should be safe, along with Wire, its between The Dragons, Hull KR and Leigh for the other spots, but London may still surprise a few.

P.s very impressed with Brandon Moore, maturing quickly, and I would say our number one choice 9.

Hope we get another year or two out of him before his obvious destiny of super league.

Probably tough to back up from the effort at HKR the week before for a part time team.
We went into the eights busted after a massive end of the regular season effort.
Hope we don't implode at Warrington as the new levels of intensity of these games start to mount up, and the Wire will be another step up in class.

I think you will find many Viking fans who would echo the "new coach" bit but they have not spent anything like £1.5m on players, if only.

I was only going off previous posts on the £1.5 million, though if you had you would be very disappointed I'd guess.
