Led me to believe that the applications of those clubs outside Super League were thoroughly checked but those of clubs in or deemed necessary to SL were not checked, just to avoid embarrassment. I give you Crusaders, Bulls, Wildcats, Reds and Tigers. Anyone speaking out was duly warned and insulted in the press.

Brilliant system eh? I think licensing, if administered correctly and being in place for correct and sporting reasons would be great.

Instead, we get this shambolic mess overseen by incompetent, blinkered buffoons!

The more you hear about it the worse it gets. Why would any club want to join the corrupt mess that is SL at present? The most disgusting aspect of the whole bulls fiasco is how they screwed their own fans of £500,000! It stinks.

The trouble is that the top clubs in the Championship are still begging to join the car wreck that is SL.

I think the time has come for the Championships to ignore SL and get together to make their clubs as strong as they can be both on and off the field, reclaim our game and leave the SL clubs to go their own way. One by one they will crash and burn until they are left with the few clubs who are financially viable and a few of those will be stuffed when their sugar daddies either die or lose interest.

Once they are down to 4 or 5 clubs and the attendances have diminished drastically through sheer lack of interest they might finally realise the error of their ways.

1 season sitting down and plotting out the course and then now 4 years later , we could have seen income streams starting to build, but as you say, we still have directors in the championship standing starry eyed with a bowl hoping to catch some scraps from the SL table

Does anybody seriously believe that the restructure ( when and in whatever format it takes ) is being done in the interests of the lower tiers?

When the power struggle has finished and we have some reasonable stability the Championship owners should demand the appointment of a ' Championship Director ' , whose sole responsibility is the development of the lower tier competitions and clubs in them

Bulls - no way back from this-needs a fresh start in the lowerbleagues and build back up

Yes, a fine club with a great tradition.

Yes, and Oxford, and Gateshead, and any other club outside SL

BUT, we also should have the final say on who joins us in the future

In the near future I can see the top 10 SL clubs breaking away anyway.
What the Championship needs is there own TV deal NOT to be shown on a Thursday night !

Only knock out matches should be shown live, NRC or play off matches only, league matches should be featured in a highlights/review/preview Boots n All type show ( produced by the clubs themselves if neccessary ) idealy on FTA Tv that could sell sponsoship or arvertising a la Irn Bru with SL

Franchising will always be open to interpretation and consequently being manipulated to suit those who are the judge and juries of it, as we know they slated our application or allowed it to be publicly ridiculed but how can anybody prove anything either way when its all cloak and dagger stuff?
Franchising lends itself to favouritism and corruption. Can't wait for the day it is binned.

I'm with you on this. Personally I think what rugby league needs is a fans show on TV in the image of soccer am. Without punters, you've got problems. take all the great conversations that fans are having in bars and car parks all over the land and put that into the public eye at a reasonable hour and let the game sell itself

I would love to see a footy show sort of show where you can see players personalities come through and see what they are really like in person instead of the boring post match interviews where they are basically told what to say.

Because if its an ALL RL show, it'll be just SL only

Yes it would, but from the Championship clubs point of view its time to be selfish, IMO they ( RFL ) arent looking out for us , time to look out for ourselves ( collectively the non SL clubs )
