Last Chance Saloon for Rhino for me. Boring Rugby and less Success than Matt Calland. Most of the signings are average to be honest going on past records and wont get us to winning silverware. Its upto Karl to change that and get the best out of the team.

Fair enough Chris I understand all I was saying is we need to keep the faith to help keep our club at the top, I should have added if you can afford. To be honest I can't really afford a season ticket but its my club and I have had one for the last 15 years and the year I stop buying one I don't think I would start again.

If this team with the likes of Brown and Murrell don't excite I agree we are up the creek without a paddle. Rhino less successful than Calland? Isn't that just how the league and the championship have grown? - honest question.

That's a very fair comment. I am a big fan of KH but we MUST do better this coming season.

I would say Fax have gone backwards rather than the league has got better. The simple facts are we have lost players such as Branigan, Black, Beswick, Penky, Royston and replaced them with poorer players. Murrell is a good player but he can't do it all on his own, maybe the new signings will provide the spark we need, I guess we will find out in the New Year.

To be honest, with the players Matt Calland had at his disposal I would say we under achieved!!

Your quote is incorrect Pete, Fax haven't won a Championship in all fairness. Calland's lot won a grand final. The championship belongs to the league table toppers which we haven't achieved for years in any division, sad but true. Cup or play-off footy is different to league tables whether we like it or not and dare i say it, easier to do, especially the cup.

The Calland/Harrison debate is irrelevant, what we now want , always have wanted is open attractive rugby something that excites us, something that will bring the crowds back. We need a Championship Final place

to be honest, the new recruits are on paper an improvement on what we had in the key positions last season. we have 3 good players going for the hooking position and the half backs did well against us last season.
so i am expecting a big improvement behind a bigger pack than any of them played in or behind last season.

I agree, that was probably due to Calland not being able get his sides to defend their line very well. I said a number of times I would have been happy if Calland had stayed and we brought a defensive coach in along side him. That's all in the past now though and we need Harrison to deliver. We still seem to carry the "entertainers tag" from the Calland days (I've lost count of the number of times on Premier sports in the last couple of season that the commentators have said when we are losing "if anyone can score 2 or 3 tries in 5 minutes it's Halifax"icon_wink.gif, but it's just not true anymore.
