To get my point across I would have to sit down with Fax Machine and lay out the Fax accounts and compare them against other similar type accounts - both in vertical and horizontal industry comparisons. Personally I think the club should lay bare all it's financial records, debts, salaries the lot. Whilst they're at it the directors (past and present) should detail all their earnings as well as there bank balances within 1p......

All I was suggesting was that a statement from the club may be prudent briefly explaining the club's financial status as, to most people, a deficit that size would suggest a cause for concern. If there is a simple explanation for this then great.

I stress that this would be to set OUR fans minds at rest and not to answer the terminally braindead at FCHT.

If we start putting out statements everytime someone says something we'll wind up looking like the bulls, then if it does go bad We look doubly stupid

There is absolutely no way any of the Board should be commenting/defending/justifying or otherwise their £ numbers on a fans forum. That's a matter for the Boardroom not public debate.
Some of these posts just beggar belief and I wonder if the genuine Halifax fans (of both sports clubs) are sat here thinking the same as me? Are people so daft that they want to bite the hand that feeds them?
There is no doubt in my mind that Tony Abbot and others will have put their hands in their pockets at least this season due to the disastrous cashflow actual v forecast, due to results on the pitch and the fact we kept playing Sheffield in various comps when we needed a big club for payday time , as well as getting knocked out of NRC!!!!
Also new signings don't just come for nothing!
I see another Tony Gartland scenario here if we aren't careful if these idiots start abusing/slandering Tony Abbot on forums and worse still his family etc and then the debate will be around where we are playing donky e level Rugby League & Football because it won't be the Shay, as neither club will be able to afford to pay the rent etc-whoever owns it!!!!!
There are clubs in far worse positions out there and slagging our own off club by Halifax people,in public, just doesnt achieve a thing.
