Blacky was the same for us when he first signed, averageing nearly a try a game in a poor team. Now he is in a very good team his try scoring level has dropped off as there is more quality over the park.

All i can say on Branno if he has left is that Danny Jones has some huge boots to fill. Can he do it? Im not so sure.

I saw Ben Black at White Rose Centre on Saturday. He said that Branno is defo not coming back as he was holding out for £40K - £50K to sign on next season.

Black said he is staying on next year and that Miles Greenwood is flying at the moment and looks top notch.

Also he said we may be having a friendly with Bradford Bulls in pre season.

Anyone thought that his all sorted for 2011 comment maybe that the club approached him to take a pay cut, he's refused so they are honouring his current 2 year contract?
The club will be in contract talks with others who they'd like to take a cut. Hence, the lack of an announcement or they'd persuade no-one.
We're not in a last season of SL scenario whereby contracts are being ripped up and players being allowed to leave. It may be just that the wage bill is reduced by Calland keeping Branighan but lowering the bill by having one less player in the squad.

Not gonna happen though is it... Why don't you go back yo having a pop at York & Sheffield Mr Champions!
