According to the Courier today Dave Singer needed another operation in the early hours of this morning. Praying that he pulls through, thinking of his family at this worrying time.

It really has taken the shine off the win has this. I am so angry with what happened but also that there has been no statement from the RFL saying something like they will have an investigation with the police and the clubs so that something similar would never happen again.

If not done already could the club not make contact with Daves parents,who were on another supporters bus and offer to help in someway.Maybe some players can do a recording for him to listen to whilst in a coma.

Really cant enjoy our win when somebody enfs up like this for no reason.

Can one of the guys doing a recording of the Sky coverage onto DVD (see sep thread) send a copy to the Hospital so they can put the last 20 mins + extra time commentary on a loop in his room?

I've not posted much on the forum for a while but just wanted to say that I wish Dave a full recovery. It's the last thing you expect to happen when you go to a rugby match. I'm sure that the players will do what they can to help Dave if the opportunity arises and know that they, like all of us, are praying he is ok.

Anyone know the latest on how the lad is, praying hes ok

Got to say that on my way to our coach I was told by a Fev fan to put my flag away as some Fev fans would not take too kindly to it. He did me a favour and I owe him a huge debt, there were some very angry men hanging around outside their coaches why??

Cos they had to go back to Fev?

No Brew they were 'hanging around' and when some of our fans started singing they had a go.

I would like to wish Dave a speedy recovery, and hope this matter is sorted out very quickly, i saw him laid on the floor as our coach was leaving the car park, a sad end to the day.

Dave all our thoughts are with you and your family hope you make a full recovery, and the thug responsible is brought to justice! I find it hard to understand why the coach park was not policed after the trouble that some of the featherstone fans had caused before and during the game?

as said on widnes forum my mate told me he found a video on youtube which has since been taken off and it shows the attack on dave he has sent the link on to the cops this morning and thats all he told me

No real change in Daves conditon but did havr couple more ops due to blood clots.A family friend is with his patents at the hospital.Spoke to Richard Lewis and he is making personal contact with Daves parents.

Really hope he pulls through, and that they catch whoever did this can safely say its not a nice feeling been a fev fan when things like this happen.

Yep same here, poor lad had one of the best days of his life ruined but hopefully he will pull through and can then start to celebrate with the rest of us.

Spoke to Daves dad today.Still to early to say extent of injuries and still in a coma.They will look to awake him soon.But its a delicate process.The family wish to thank everybody for the kind words and thoughts.The family do not want to make a big thing about what happened or people to think bad of Featherstone or its fans.

I will keep saying my prayers for him mate.

Hoping to god that Dave pulls through. Don't feel we can fully celebrate our win whilst one of our own is unable to celebrate with us. Some come on mate, let's see you back with us soon leading the celebrations. And let's all focus our energies on that, and leave the other stuff to the police.
