infact this season Frank the Tank has stepped up and is making the yards his size says he should.

Couldn't have put it better, Frankie has had a storming couple of months and is our form forward at the moment.

Demetriou would be a quality signing but I guess he would want some considerable dosh.

Id rather we spent the money on a reserve team than pay an ageing aussie.

Exactly and given the injuries he's had recently its not difficult to work out why Wakey are getting rid.

If that list features those who will be playing for us in 2011, I think we should fill the rest with good, young promising players from Calderdale. Lets get Halifax lads playing for Halifax, lets add to Haley and Bowman. We might not challenge for honours, we might well do, I'd still come to games if there were 17 Halifax lads playing for the crest.

Why?

Any good youngsters have already been signed up by SL teams. Leaving us with players that simply arnt good enough. I couldnt care less where the players who play for us come from as long as we can get the best possible team we can afford on the field, but then again i am a club before country man.

Im personally a huge fan of Halifax lads playing for the club but only if they are good enough. We are all acutely aware of the number of Calderdale born players who have slipped through the net over the years, either by bad management, lack of opportunity or better prospects elsewhere. I suppose its easy to say get the local lads in but structure needs to be in place to do this which costs money, and unfortunately we are not in that position at present. I do however share the same sentiment.

I bet most of these will never play SL, and are signed up just to prevent any other team taking them.

Young prop Luke Ambler is also included in McClennan's initial leeds 19-man squad for this weekend.

What a total negative SOB he turned out to be, Notice that when he was left out of the team and then finally gone that the attitude and performance of the players went up almost expenentially over a game or 2.

I have asked this a few days ago but no reply, What has happened to Makali Aiziu, The apparent Beast ?. has he fled Back to Bodmin Moors ?. Is he still training ?.

it's time he showed us the reason we signed him, not got many games left to prove something. Very disappointed in his showings so far.
He was the signing I was most excited about pre season, but Luke and Dylan have far outshone either of our SL captures.
