Why would him being knocked out have anything to do with him being at the club?

I see the arrogance is already re-starting. Wheeler could be the next big thing and future GB international but Halifax fans say "who?" and "why would we need Wheeler if we've got Bowman"

I just don't think Ant. Bowans ready to play against people in the same standard like Tamghart and Azuie. But he's got a hell of alot of potential, jus think Wheeler could do alot more for the club in the short term.

I don't know who he is, I wouldn't say I am arrogant for not knowing, will find out some info like I did with Aizue who I also didn't really know about. Don't watch super league, so my knowledge of super league is limited. Don't wanna pollute my brain with this defensive nonsense that is super league, I'm a puriest when it comes to rugby that's why I watch Halifax.

Obviously from the comments already he is a much sort after individual so I am sure if he is allowed to go be it on loan or permanent move there will be a lot of interested parties.

I suppose the comment might have been made out of lack of knowledge about Wheeler but, alternatively I read it as being meant as who needs Saints when you've got Fax. I mean if someone offered you Tomkins at Wigan or Bowman, who would you want?

Thats completely different, Tomkins is about to become a full England International, was part of the SL dream team and is a key member of the Wigan side. Plus he is one of the rising stars of SL and well known and recognisable.

Wheeler is only just breaking into Saints first team, not a proven SL player and outside Sintellins and some of SL isn't well known.

As it happens Bowman could have been the next Tomkins, he was in the Wigan academy himself but chose to come back to play for his HOMETOWN club. Thats why people would prefer Bowman because just like James Haley, and older brother Andy Bowman, Anthony is a Halifax lad.
