agreed, poor final venue choice, running out of food before the kick off with the excuse they didnt know there was a game on is appalling, Shame on them. and the view was not uninterupted, Leigh and Widnes both have better stadia, poor, poor preparation, 3 games in a day? NO, NO, NO, and why did we watch Keighley and Oldham? none of them stopped.

I thought the stadium was excellent for the games it accommodated, the catering arrangements on the other hand were shiite as was the pie I had the misfortune to consume. i just hope to god we don't have the same caterers at home next season

When we played in the 06 GF at Warrington, we got to the stadium about an hour before our match. The queue to get a drink was about 100 deep and was shut by the time our match had started. The bar closing probably had more to do with a load of pizzed up Swinton fans fighting with the stewards though. Really poor organisation on the day though.

Also agree,food,beer etc,poor set up.As for the Cougar fans,some of us stayed to watch a enthralling game.See you next season

Thought although a nice stadium the set up today was at best terrible. We went to watch the second half of the game before ours and it took 40 mins to be served for a drink.

What a joke of a place. We then tried to get some food for the whole place to be shut down.

It spoilt a good day out but what bad organising. Surely Warrington with a bit better organising could have made a lot more money??

Lets just hope they decide to change the venue for next year.

it was crap in the North Stand, they'd run out of beer, any hot food & white coffee during the break between the Keighley game & ours... pathetic... surely thay must have realised there were going to be quite a few fans there yesterday!

I spoke to one of the catering staff. They were told to expect 9000 people in total drifting in and out the stadium throughout the afternoon

Well done to Keighley thought you were going to throw it waway at the end but that 2nd half start was class from you lot.
As for our game I am gutted but not dissapointed in the boys thought they have played much much better this last couple of games. Just shows what could've been early season but you don't win anything 7 matches in do you. Think next season we will definately stengthen and we will definately be there again I have no doubt. Credit to Barrow dspite them having taken glory waway from us with financial muscle but hey we would all love a sugar daddy. They play solid stuff 2nd half of season and deserve their success for this. Some of their fans were a little too keen to remind us of this though

Talk about shooting themselves in the foot, not only was there only 1 kiosk open, with 5 staff trying to serve West stand full of 4000 of West Yorkshire's finest ale drinkers, they committed the cardinal sin of not getting enough beer and pies in, shocking!

That's why I, amongst other Cougars fans, left at halftime. We wanted to get p*ssed and have something to eat.

I am astonished you were bothered about the beer running out it was only Carling anyways and at £3 a pint it just confirms our view on this side of the Pennines that you Yorkshire Yorkshire Yorkshire folk know as much about beer as you do rugby.

Seriously feel for you guys, was a cracking game. For parts of that game, especially in the first half, you battered us. What a different side yous were from when we played yous at craven park. Could have gone any way that game, fortunately for me it went my way. Look forward to next year

What a crappy set-up the Halliwell is, I was there before 3pm with the intentions of watching Oldam V Keighley but there was very little car-parking available, it took about 15mins to find somewhere not at risk of being clamped or ticketed.
Not that I was boozing, but a couple of lads in my group were and they were rightly pee-d off at the ale running out. I'd intended feeding the kids while at the stadium but the snap ran out, the traffic after the match was tiresome, we left immediately on the final hooter with the intentions of getting a flyer, but not to be.
A poor venue to hold such an event in my opinion, I've got away from the SL final in better time when there's been 60 thousand plus, at least them lot have it organised.

Did anyone notice that group of Fax fans in the right hand corner of the south stand who the coppers wouldn't allow a transfer into the West stand ? All a bit "more than my job's worth" and totally anal.
I was a little taken aback how small the stadium is once inside, it looked a lot larger from the approach to the ground on the outside !

On the plus side, the Cougars fans were entertaining when celebrating on the pitch with their players, the stewards were too slow to catch a standing bus...

was in portugal when final played and got the game put on in pub after pleading with barman as all tv screens, eight, all had football game on, same one.
finally got game on in the second minute of game so watched it all from then.
today at home thought would watch again, watched keighley game then start of fax game. that is until sky plus taping ended after 2 mins of the game.
how did sky know i was watching it from then on while away.

it did the same on mine...tryed to watch it again last week, and cut off after 2mins...

Think it might have stopped as it was our game was a different programme to keighleys game in sky's scheduling. I know they ran one after the other but they showed in sky's tv guide as different programmes.

That's right. It was a different programme. I set a reminder for our game and saw nothing of keighleys

I recorded both and all the build up to our game was shown on the scheduled div 1 final game. That recording finished just as kick off happened and the actual recording of our game began just as they were ready for kick off.

It was all one programme on Sky+ to start with - I set this to record, but then Sky must have split it into two separate programmes.

I recorded one of the later repeats (it's a cut-down version), but haven't had the heart to watch it yet...!!
