We have Quality players who are clueless and look lost. Where are our tactics? Where is the fire and passion? The Coach is responsible for that and he is not giving it. He decides the team but for some reason picks consistantly players out of position. You can maybe do that in the amateur game at Mayfield but not in Pro Rugby League.

Colin those specs of yours really are rose tinted. Now its time to get your head out of your ar$e or whoevers it is up at the moment. We were more than out enthused. That team lacked composure, ideas, pride and guts. If you seriously think that was an ok performance I hope you never coach any kids of mine as you simply can not read a game of rugby.

If Matt can't get this from our players for a match as important as tonight then I must think something is seriously wrong. I'm not totally blaming the coach as it is ultimately the players that take the field. One thing is clear something needs to change.

Whoever told Penky he is a ball handler needs shooting. We've got the best hooker in the league and he thinks he's Wally Lewis!

It's a fine line between getting it spot on as you were doing early on and making too many mistakes as you seem to be doing at the moment

For short spells you are brilliant in attack , but you have never sorted your defence , if you outscore them , you win , if you dont , you lose

No I don't fancy doing any coaching but thanks for the offer. With 2 kids and a 3rd overdue (hence why not at the game) I have no time to give as my job is also time consuming. I dont EVER mind losing but the manner in which we lost is very poor. Anyone can see that except you?? - For someone who coaches the game I find that bemusing

I also have three kids, so that makes me as good as you I suppose, and my job is verrrrry time consuming and I've a pile of ironing that I put off to watch the rugby on telly tonight, nevermind, the ironing will still be there tomorrow and Halifax will still have a chance of reaching and winning the GF



And for the record, I HATE losing, whichever way it comes, but we live to fight another day, I also don't understand how folk can get so off colour with their team.

I don't know it all but I don't blindly accept everything the coach does is correct because he's the coach. Its called having a mind of my own.


Calland picks him at stand off and in my opinion he's not up to it.

Losing patience with "he's only a new coach learning his trade etc." what about Dave Clark, he's had to face demotion to assitant and then had to pick things up again. His team were better prepared, more up for it and tacticlly miles ahead of us.

Lets face it - 2 years on the trot we have peaked at the beginning of the season. Or should we face the real facts, we get away with it at the beginning of the season when other teams are still working on their fitness and shape. As soon as the bsuiness end arrives we aint up to it.

No stand off - don't need one says the coach, we've got enough ball players who can fit in. so we'll have 4 hookers in stead. but then which one of them actually plays at dummy half, its hard to tell sometimes, but no the coach said that doesn't matter, we have all these ball players and anyone of them can go to dummy half. yes these are things he said early in the season. but you can't go on playing off the cuff football with no structure and players drifitng out of position all the time.

Penky did have another shocker so did beswick but its the coach who has put penky at half back and ruined his game this year. Him and Glees rotating at hooker is such an obvious one for me. As for beswick i never know where he's playing, when he's meant to be stand off or loose forward, he still seems to end up in the middle at dummy half.

And absolutley no motivation. like others have said, if you can't get up for a game like this then......

It's all about confidence i'm afraid i've we've run out of it. We've hit the wall. The players still have the skills and ability but we need to instill some self belief but time is running out. As for sacking Calland? Who are we - Newcastle United?

People get off colour or I do because of the passion I have for the club mixed with a desire to do well. We talk the talk as a club but somehow never deliver. That is worrying. I admit it we still have a chance, on that performance tonigh though would you put your house on it because I ceretainly wouldn't.

RL is a momentum game. The effort we showed tonight was excellent. We got a couple of early bad calls and they got piggybacked down the field. Barrow are a very good team with some excellent players. If they get a roll on it's hard to stop. If they don't and we get a roll on, then we're hard to stop. Why is that so difficult to understand?

We could have got back in at 15-6, but desperation passing which didn't come off and they were away. And we were fighting at 9-0 but they got a lucky interception.

It's just the way it is. Calland out? God give me strength. I could ******* swear sometimes.
