Hayley is a consistent grafter. How was he poor last night? He is our best most consistent player under high kicks...even under great pressure last night a few times he still regathered the ball after a little fumble.

He also doesn't miss tackles and through 'our bad spell' really stood out and still didn't have a bad game when most others did.

Just because somebody doesn't 'stand out' doesn't make them average, he is a consistent work horse, he isn't on the pitch to do the fancy stuff

Haley without doubt most consistant player, his tackle on Rooney (when he got cramp) was excellent and snuffed out a good attacking move.

We need a big attacking forward to be our most consistant player though, that's what were lacking IMO. How many forward line breaks tonight, I think none. Barra had one almost every set.

Being average isnt bad. You need some average players and Haley is one of them. He will never be a stand out performer and had an average game at best last night, but so did so many other players. However if you think Haley has been our best player all season then its clearly not me who is clueless.

For me the stand out players this year are Miles Greenwood, Matt James (until May) and Said Tamghart. Although I would say Said's form has dipped recently.

I have the same trepidation as you, but want it to be over to be honest, one way or another. Had the game been at fev tonight I might have been tempted to go (not trailing over to Widnes), I really dont have a preference who wins tonight, unless we improve on last night either would stuff us.
