At the end of the day, the best team lost. We threw away at least three chances in the first half and then blacks hiccup in the second.

Add onto that, laughton who obviously couldn't see widnes penalties because of the bright yellow tops.

We should have won by quite a distance. The only difference was widnes took the few chances they had and that's about it. A five point win flattered them, but they won non the less.

Well done to them and good luck in the final. We still want the Grand Final and that's our aim now.

And that is because Stuart Cummins is there. The guy was an arrogant plank as a Ref and would never accept criticism. He has not changed now and the number of times Coaches and Players have said publically let alone privately how bad the Match officials are yet the Standards continue to drop. The game has moved on and is getting faster and yet the people running the Sport are destroying it and creating more problems by their inefficiency!

I'm gutted. We were well and truely robbed today.

I'll still be cheering blue and white to the win the final, out of the two teams, I believe they deserve it more.

No problem accepting defeat, the only real problem is the fact that Ronnie Laughton is a useless, biased *&^&&** . That said, we had opportunity after opportunity to win this game and we threw it away.

Laughton was a complete ...... the penalty count in the first half was a disgrace. But the ref aside we just didn't take the chances we had. After going 22-20 up widnes looked knackered and down we started to make breaks and came to life but didn't take the chances to bury the game. As for Blacks hicup i cursed the air blue when he did it but keep your head up Ben you are a quality player and we would't be where we are now without your influence. Well done widnes and your fans on a great atmosphere. just a shame you have the odd waster like jiffy davies supporting you.

What beat me was the number of high and grapple tackles he let go in the first half. Fair play to Widnes, their game plan must have been to rough us up and make us angry, because it damn well worked and Laughton was party to that.

Where did we loose this? I know Laugton was an absolute waste of space, as were his touch judges, but they were not the reason we lost.

I think Penky and Black didnt have their best "day at the office" and we definately were cold in the first 20 minutes, which is where Widnes got on the ascendancy. Had Ben done what he does best we would definately have won, so lets not beat ourselves up, we did enough to win, even when we played bad (for 20 mins) so its still very much there for us at the end of the season.
