I prefer talk rugby, but urban carrot started the argument by saying jog on.I am entitled to an opinion, and i was not going to say anymore until he insulted me firstly.It seems Fax hate Widnes and i will stand up for them.They have gone by the rules and got an academy set up.To be honest i have seen lots going on about Widnes and it is wrong.Not their fault RFL stated criteria and to stop this biterness bring back promotion and relegation.Teams can also spend what they like aswell.

I think everybody needs to calm down a bit , Fax did what they did , that was to get a much bigger than usual attendance , no matter How or Why , it wont , or shouldn't make any difference to who gets a licence next March

Last word on crowds for our Widnes 'friends' = over 6,000 at Widnes v Swinton last year but they were all let in for free!
Now that didn't affect your average attendance last season then Viking fans???

RL clubs are putting false crowds out all the time like was there really as many as the 'official' attendance 288 for London Skolars v Gateshead on Sunday???
If you have been to London Skolars and I have been twice with Fax you will see why I think if they get 100 (not for a team with good away support) I am on about just home fans its a big crowd!

It's a well known fact that RL clubs announce false figures......I mean look at Quins.....3,200 average my 'arris. We actually pack 12,000 in for our home games but nobody checks anymore and we make a real killing by diddling the inland revenue

Widnes fans calling Fax fans arrogant



It was busier than usual plus it will always attract more fans if the Stewards let in more joint smokers...

The difference is that we have justifiable reasons to be arrogant..




I don't think Widnes fans (generalising here a bit) think that Fax fans are arrogant. There is one poster on the Widnes forum that visits here that probably puts this but I wouldn't worry too much about that. I think there is a mutual respect that exists between the two sets of supporters.
Anyway I've had my fill on here. In summary after 17 odd pages it would seem that the majority of Fax fans that attended the game thought there were more there than normal but that it didn't look like an attendance of 4795. The reason being that free tickets were given out at some fayre and counted regardless of whether the recipient attended or not.
Not that it matters because this is a nice little two finger salute to the Hoods over in Red Hall and their franchising schemes.

Nope, that was Salford in 2008 and their incredible 'Golden Angel' ticket scheme, which saw them recording far higher attendances than they can get even get in SL.



Halifax have got nowt on Salford, when it comes to crowd fiddling. They are the masters!



They ain't bad at faking stadium builds either.

you know we can argue til the cows come home as it's an almost totally defendable argument, but the crowd wasn't as published. You know it, I know it, the whole rugby world knows it!!!
Can't say as I blame you one iota! You play the system - Fax didn't set the rules, the RFL have done that. Fair play in my book!
