Friday night factor is an issue for many people, finishing work then getting to Sheffield for half 7 isn't easy. Many folk are on a 5 week month and don't get paid until next friday so this weekend are on a tight budget. And its a Bank Holiday running into school half term.

I don't get this five week month business. What makes employers think that's a good idea ? If they want to work on weeks, why don't they pay their employees five weeks' pay in a five week month and four weeks' pay in a four week month ?

I was told by an eagles supporter that sponsors preferred Fridays & it was better financially for the club than paying customers

I dont quite get it either, I get paid every 4 fridays, so get 13 paydays a year, so this month I actually get paid twice (3rd and 31st)



Sponsors account for a vast amount of income, at many clubs its more than what they get from gate receipts, so you need to look after these people.
