Josh Wood gone to Barrow

Disappointing that we've re-signed all 9 front line forwards from last season.While it's difficult to be over critical of any individual,collectively there were poor and way off what's needed.and not sure how much scope that leaves us for badly needed re-inforcements.Three should have gone IMO.

I am with you on this one just out of interest who would you of let go. we have not replaced springer and released jones and Connor davies who was used through the middle and we never replaced Brierley either. There is a rumour that morris even thou he is on the list for next season could be going to york but we will have to wait and see on that one. When you look at the middles that have been released by super league clubs there is not much to gone on we will probably have to look at the championship for players in that position or league 1. Other then that we might go for loans from super league but they can always be recalled.

I’d rather wait till all the signings are complete till I passed judgment, it was quite obvious a lot of players were carrying injuries especially at the back end of the season .

Now they are all retained they have a clean slate and my full backing,so not naming.Suffice to say that we keep players consistantly whose level of performance dips year on year,but if the coach feels they are the best options available...

When you look at our forwards difficult to be too critical of any one individual - they all consistently play to their strengths - they are generally strong defensively and rarely make mistakes - qualities which Grix obviously, and understandably values. The problem for me is that they are all too alike so that especially when you look at our bench we rarely have a forward who offers something different that might change a game, but just a fresher version of the player coming off. Tangata in his pomp used to offer this but less so now - don't know enough about Matty Gee if he's actually coming to know whether he's the answer - the rumours about the quality of the backs coming in aee very promising - really hope that even if smaller numbers the forward additions are the same quality.

Elliott Morris staying as well which is great news. Consistantly one of our best players and were lots of rumours of him leaving so for him to stay is a massive bonus.

On Robinson if he goes Grix will say something like it didn't work out for him as early on he struggled for form and then got injured for a lengthy period.
On Elliot, well pleased he's staying, he's past wearing the Learner Plate stage and next year will be a big one for him to press on.

Elliot Morris is a great resigning. For me he has stepped up alongside of JF as one of the first names on the team sheet. Whether he starts the game or comes on after twenty minutes probably depends on the opposition and Simons tactics but either way a very encouraging piece of news. Up The Fax!

It was no coinicidence that when Morris was missing games because of covid it also happened to be the time our form took a bit of a dip.

It will be interesting to see were robinson ends up the article says 2 clubs are interested and it should be sorted out next week.

I would guess travel has been a problem again with Robinson, both for player and possibly the club - a pity because I think with Keyes they could have formed a very good half back partnership. As with all players leaving can't afford to be sentimental as long as their replacements are a step up in quality. Possible Jouffret may offer that ,- have to say wouldn't be thrilled if it ends up being Aston.

So what's happening with all the annoucements? Promised more to come then nothing since last Thursday!
