Such sad news, but my word I am proud of the Rugby League community. Raised £54'000 now and is still going up!

Still cant get over this and I didnt even know Danny! Great to see 56K raised for his family but sadly that wont go far so if you can help I am sure it will be much appreciated. Hopefully the Club can do something so Dannys name is remembered in years to come especially being from the area.

What about an annual pre season game between Fax and Cougars, with a Danny Jones trophy to play for.
Either all proceeds from the day or at least a collection held, with everything donated to the family.

As a mark of respect tomorrow King Cross Park under 11s plus the coaching staff will be wearing black armbands. The No 6 shirt will be retired for this one game.

Just watched the youtube video and gotta say that even though I didn't know Danny personally, it brought it home how unfair things can be in this world that something like this can happen to a fine young man in his prime.

It's going to be an emotional time tomorrow when we get to the 6th minute. Just wondering if the ref will have the sense to pause the game - he should.

I wouldn't say pause the game deliberately, but it won't do any harm if the ball happens to go in touch and the players get a quick pack down to stop the clock and then take their time to re-form it.

I do agree, luckily the scrum took a while to from whilst the six minute clap took place and poignant that Scott scored just about then.

Can I suggest that HX1 produce a T shirt with both the Fax badge and the Keighley badge on the front and Danny Jones 6 on the back, profits to the Danny Jones fund.
Also as previously suggested a pre season match, Fax v Keighley, played every year for the "Danny Jones Trophy"

I think above all else today I'd like to think it was a strong show of support for the Jones family today and not to say the least that the Leigh fans continued to chant Danny's name even when conceding the try.

Fabulous to see such a great response from the fans to such a good cause. Bless her i felt for her on sunday, especially so soon after his death turning up at the game with the little ones. Tough time for her, we can only hope that taking away the fincial burdens will help in some way.
