Barrow set theirs up couple months ago and raised similar amount already.
Know other clubs like Leigh, Workington now have them too

Why wait for someone else to do it ?...set it up yourself in Halifax RLFC's name or Halifax trust
Cheques will be posted out to you,made out in that name..all you can do is pass them on to club.
Has to be an organisation,Club or charity.Individuals cant make anything from it.
It really is the most ridiculous way of making cash
Just need to promote it to other fans and get them to register a few simple details and then get them to use it.
Even if its just for the free offers....eg T Mobile Sim card posted to your house...bin it...make a £1 for Halifax

Is that the one they put on for the rugby or the one that they put on for the footie which was in the only open stand BEHIND the crowd?At least the players knew the score

The past two football games have been the only ones when it hasn't been in use, can only assume it's an understandable cost-cutting exercise.

Is that the big screen that you have to queue up for half an hour to view?

Lets do it, joint effort by both clubs lots to gain nowt to lose.

I remember Bruce (whatever happened to him?) started a collection for an electric score board up at Thrum Hall in late 80's

He still collects in the pubs of Sowerby Bridge. See him lots on a Saturday afternoon or early evening.

Bruce is a legend. I was a programme seller at Thrum Hall when I was a lad at the same time as him. Not the sharpest tool, but if you could bottle his enthusiasm for Fax and spread it around the town you would have a sell out every game.

Shame that not all of the money seemed to filter to the club.

I also remember him selling programmes and slagging the board of directors off whilst doing so.
That might have led to his dismissal....
