In simple terms:
Tickets are part of the turnover and at the end of the year your PAL (profit and loss) is calculated and corporation tax is due on the PBT (profit before tax) at 21% for small companies.
This is calculated from your turnover minus your cost of sales; wages, salaries, courses and training, travel and subsitence
This gives you your Gross Profit.
Your operating profit is your Gross Profit minus your Admin Expenses; Wages ground maintenance, general admin cost, finance charges, depreciation of assets..etc
Once the Operating Profit is calculated any interest received or payable is added and subtracted accoringly.
This gives you your PBT
EG with 20% Gross Profit (Note these figures are not real and used as example only, they do not relate to any club, business or organisation)
Turnover £1,000,000.00
cost of sales £800,000.00
Gross Profit £1,000,000.00 - £800,000.00 = £200,000.00
Admin expences £150,000.00
Operating Expenses £200,000.00 - £150,000.00 = £50,000.00
Interest Recieved £5,000.00
Interest Payable £8,000.00
PBT £50,000.00 - £3,000.00 = £47,000.00
Tax Due (£47,000.00 @ 21%) = £9,870.00'"
Can we use these as our official figures do you think? Well look at that ladies and gents we have our 1M turnover. Get this sent to the RFL staright away.  |

My god the last time i came on here this thread had 25 posts on itm 200 posts later its still going.
here's all you need to know though.
the figure has been confirmed. its not going to be changed. we can all speculate whether its true or not true but its still there.
