Point taken..but this is not pre-season where people are trialling with a view to earning a contract-it was announced as a one month loan agreement with a contracted super league player.

If he were to become available and was what RM was looking for and he liked it here then we have a foot in the door, contact made, assessment done and "informed decision" possible.

The alternative is Fax don't take a look at any contracted player who is offered to them.

RM and his staff seem to be doing a fantastic job with both the first team and reserves with the cards they are holding so why doubt him here , you either trust him or you don't.

for me asking the questions and the ability to do so are the most important thing. It's got nothing to do with trust just a will to constantly improve from where you currently are . I don't think as a club or supporters we have asked enough over recent years. I think MM changed that by questioning the way the club was operated My question to the club at this stage is ...what board decisions or changes do you feel have contributed most to this seasons success . ? Because the reality is we have got to where we are with nobody saying ...." We have no money " significantly signings of Qlt and Moss came mid season. One to discuss .

Cant see a problem with looking at players with a view to a permanent deal . That's what RM and MG are doing. French lad might not work out but he was worth a punt. Nothing to lose.

I don't think any changes really contributed if we are honest. Is the club better run now? Its pretty hard to say, I mean at the beginning of the season we had no money to sign new players and had to run with what we had and its only been significant financial contributions from sponsors that allowed for the quality to come in to the team. If we didnt make the top 4 I would imagine the club would feel the affect once again. I know people from the recent past have been asked to get involved once again after a few things did not go to plan this season and it will be interesting to see who takes the reigns of the club after this season.

For me one of the best decisions made by the board was to remove the ‘Eights’ from the season ticket and not give away the summer bash tickets. Yes the season tickets were cheaper, but still sold more in monetary terms, and now, at the end of season when money is usually tight, the club will have a decent wedge of income to see them through the off season thanks to the 8a being all pay. Mark Moore can take a lot of credit, but let’s not forget the contribution that Peter McNamara made before he resigned, and to that matter still does as and when he can help out

A very settled squad, well coached, well supported by the backroom staff with a significant improvement in player development as well as a bit of luck with fewer injuries have contributed to our improvement and consistency. The change in the supporters is a real differation point for me this year.

Very begrudging view from Greg . I wonder why ? Almost like nobody invited you to the party Greg !!that I do know why a very good reason ! . For me the biggest change at the club is CULTURE That's from the top allowing the green shoots to grow and from the bottom for planting them . Previously it felt like everyone was encouraged to be mushrooms keep them in the dark and feed them xxxx. It actually feels amazingly good being a Halifax fan with LS 28 at the moment and long may that continue I don't want to go back to the old slumbering ways. We have woken up !

You are getting a good lad in Sam Wood. A smart player with ball in hand and works hard in defence. Was unlucky to be also injured when Cudjoe was out so didn’t get much of a chance at centre.
He stepped in at stand off early on when we were had that horrendous injury crisis and after the game Danny Brough sang his praises - commenting on how confident he was at telling Danny what he wanted!!!!
I see him as a second row long term- but every time they try and bulk him up he just grows another two inches upwards!!!
He won’t let you down.

Any shortfall has to be covered by the club now so the more sales to help do that the better.

No worrying here, the club now has the money to cover the shortfall which is brilliant. With the experience of this year hopefully they can turn things around regarding the shop and turn a profit next year. That is all anybody can hope for and the club is now moving in the right direction, they just need to be careful who takes over from this point.

Would have had the money all along had certain people not taken their loans back with a lot of interest!

Something like that shows up pretty easily in the accounts but I’m not sure there was anything like that in the last lot. Maybe that was one of the reasons we had no money at the start of this season but again that will show up.

I do hope anyone who did loan the club money did not take any interest on top but can you really begrudge them taking their money back if they actually did? I did hear there were a couple of people in an attempted take over group who were getting small loans paid back over the course of the season but again they should get that money back.

Be nice to know if anyone did that.

In the past Roger Harvey, Howard Posner, Michael Steele and Mike Riley are all on record as saying they never even took their loans back! These guys ensured we have a foundation that a few others almost buggered up last season.

I thought they had just spent £10k on a club tie for swanning around in on a game day!!

Haha! The half truth`s, the BS and people hiding behind a made up name to criticise the like of Ian Croad in code after what he has given to the club. Just ask me i will tell you the truth always. Please stop chatting sh+te. Anyone who thinks he made money out of the club is delusional. He gave his all for Halifax.

It seems that Ian Croad is a very easy target on here but the most vocal seem to be people connected to a certain group and its probably a case of if they throw enough mud they hope some of it will stick. Luckily the BOD took steps to move the club forward and also made the decision to not hand control over to a group of people who wanted it for their own self importance which could have lead to disaster.

Not many on here cottoned on to an announcement the club made about a sponsorship and then had to back track, well that sponsorship was pulled to try and land the club in the poo and it cost the club money which seems to have been forgotten but again its easy to blame Ian Craod but he and the other board members had to pick up the pieces from that and Im sure it cost them all one way or another.

Remember these people bleed blue and white and to think they would do anything to hurt the club is just absurd.
