as for animosity between both sets of fans, its only a minute few, the vast majority were delighted so many faxfans turned out to cheer the towns footy on against lancaster on saturday

Went to FCHT's game at Curzon tonight, think it's fair to say that they're nailed on for promotion now.

They've won the league and promotion today. Won 4-2 and Lancaster drew. Lancaster can match them on points over the next three games (assuming Town lose their remaining two) but the goal difference is massive.

Rumour has it its going to be the Tesco Premier League from next season so every little helps.

Shouldnt need too much tinkering to the side to be able to challenge at the top. Whilst a step up we should still have one of the highest wage budgets in the league thanks to the excellent level of support the club has sustained. Our biggest asset is Neil Aspin who is a no-nonsense manager that has managed to instill a fantastic work ethic into the players.

Its great to win promotion but we are still a long way off being anywhere close to where we feel we should be.

I am Primerally a FC Halifax Town fan but i attend all the Rugby home games and i know a lot of Halifax football fans that attend the Rugby matches awell,

Great to read all the supportive messages from fax fans. They have been noticed by both football purists and those few who do follow both teams.

Huge well done to the Shaymen, they really do not know when they are beat.
Go and win on Saturday now and get pat the 100 points and keep that unbeaten home record which would be tremendous.
It may only be the Unibond North league but to only lose 2 games and none at home all season (presuming they don't mess it up on Saturday) is some going.

It would be great to think that in 5 years or so time weve got a rugby team competing well in super league and a footy club still on the up perhaps challenging at the top end of the conference

3-4 years ago we had the shaymen haemorraging cash and fighting for survival and the fax looked to have nowhere near the super league potential.

With a completed east stand thrown into the equation, the outlook for both clubs over the next few years looks very positive indeed.

Congratulations to the Shaymen, as already said, to lose only 2 games all season and undefeated at home in any competition takes some doing, you can only play what's in front of you!

Hopefully they will be the first of two Halifax champions at the Shay this year
