He will do a good job for them. Like I have said about him and a few others we are letting go, he isnt really good enough for a team that wants to be the best in the division.

I hope they do prove us wrong absolutely!! But I do have to agree as a signing that I was pretty chuffed about has left me pretty underwhelmed. No doubt he will have a blinder when he plays against us.....

Yep, nothing would please me more than Handforth dropping the goal that wins us the GF and proving me wrong in the process.

Handforth got subbed in a home game recently. Fev. I think. He had given up. Not seen this many times watching Fax. Personally, I wouldn't play him again this year.

In fact, I'd go as far to say, drop any constant underperforming player now for the rest of the season. No Heaton, Patterson, Tyrer being the first.

Then get rid of those not good enough for next year. Ashalls, Bracek, Thackaray, Reitee. Hard facts.

Underperformed and been a waste in most games for me. Cant say he did much at Fax, despite playing behind a strong pack. Too slow and lazy for me and not somebody who we should have signed in the first place. For me a few players should be going and as well as some coaching staff as we are not even close to being where we should be aiming for. Both Players and Coaching staff are guilty of failure

Cheers and I've heard all the rumours and been told alleged "inside" info but I'd like some official news from the club, something to get us bought into next year as the terraces are pretty low right now and I can only see the crowds going the wrong way.

I really cant see us announcing signings for next season before this season finishes.

Kain and Finn would be good with Murrell and a good hooker especially given they know exactly how each other plays.

In the past, we've usually waited for a teams season to have finished before announcing signing players from them.

Handforth hasn't been upto the standard we'd expect. We all praised Rhino for his comments along the lines of "I want players here who want to play for Halifax". So if Tiger feels he can do better elsewhere then its time to say goodbye.

Unfortuntaley. as we have a small squad. we can't sit him and the others who are leaving in the stands for the rest of the season.

Craig Ashall played the full 80 and is (albeit slowly) improving all the time and scored two tries today. Karl shows promise, and could be a really good player given time. Bracek is a strong hard player who's always a handful to put down. I haven't a clue why everyone has such a downer on Reittie - he was dire at one point for us, but (as Karl H noted after the game today), he takes the ball up and tough's it out when no-one else wants to. Thacks is so frustrating, because he should be able to do so much better.

I was using my "early bird" season ticket dining option today. Some great stuff as usual from Pete Emmett, and a good bit of banter between him and Brian Noble before the game.

Karl's most telling comment after the game was that we have some great individual contributions, but we're still not clicking as a team. He also commented that there's a lot of good work going on behind the scenes, with a lot of youthful players coming on that could pay dividends for us in the next couple of years. He also noted that Keighley had been rather disruptive in announcing Tiger's move at this stage of the season!

Btw, if there's one player we [ushould[/u be trying to entice from Batley, it would be their winger, Greg Johnson. He was really quick!

So we won't hear anything prior to the end of the season, and if you ask me that's fair enough. Even if somebody's season has finished if you announce it then it's only going to disrupt our end of season run in if it's in a pivotal position.
Let's announce them when we've picked up the trophy after the Grand Final.

Wouldn't mind us keeping Thacks, he's no halfback - which has been very clear - but he's a useful player to have knocking around maybe try him at Loose, he's always in good try scoring positions, allow him to roam and play his own game.

To be honest unlike a lot of our supporters I was sorry to hear he was going. I think he has taken some unnecessary stick, however if the "rumoured signings" are true then things can only get better.
The best aspect of his game were his, kick and chase and then the tackle and his defensive work, but obviously we need more creativity at half back.

I don't think it was ever announced. Just became common knowledge amongst the terraces that he'd signed. I was told by a Leyther, news travels fast it seems
