| Another irony is on that forum I'm called a nutter but yet the moderator continously harks back to david brook , gartland and abbot like it has any relevance has to whats happening now , I heard similar ramblings from my ex wife's grandma who was suffering from dementia and consequently stuck in a time warp.

| An article gets printed where Clayton gets interviewed by a bonafide rl journalist and asks about the future plans of the rugby club and the stadium and hoddie and flea respond by printing old newspaper archives from the 80s and everyone is lying anyway .

| As the time goes by and someone asks them.
“So what have you done with your life” and they reflect that over the years wether going to bed, getting up in the morning and hour after hour in between it was spent thinking about and talking about a rugby club who they hate to obsession levels I wonder if the penny will drop on what a pointless sad life it’s been?
PS: And with that thought in mind I’m done with them as far as I’m concerned from now on they don’t exist.

| Quote ="faxcar"Taking another look, this time at their “closed shop” forum.
Page after page shows it’s the most hate filled local community sporting platform of all time with all the hate being levelled at the rugby club.
In this day and age of kicking out intolerance, discrimination and hatred etc against other groups they show by their speech and conduct a total failure to do so against just that one group and putting sport and everything aside show what sort of people they are as individuals.
If the same level and content of hatred, insults and abuse was to be levelled at any other group it wouldn’t be acceptable in todays modern society.
For example say it against any race, religion or LGBTQIAS+ groups and it would be shot down but instead put HRLFC or HPRLFC in and that’s okay on there.
That’s because the person who runs it not only allows people to spread their hatred but actively encourages it even allowing special dispensation to do so the longer they’ve being doing it for, but say the slightest thing against the football club and your instantly banned.
Thankfully, whatever happens to the Shay, the rugby and or football they will have no say or influence in the outcome whatsoever.'"

That's all it takes for a footy match to get cancelled down the shay ( and of course it's the rugbys fault even when there not playing.

And true to form answered fittingly with another derogatory term by one of them but that’s to be expected.
Irony is I wonder who can’t handle the truth about their past, have never been able to handle the rugby clubs presence at the Shay and having “snowballs” hasn’t the guts to stand by his own forums comments.
The pitch is all ready getting ruined as I saw in last weeks home game against Leeds and there’s still several more weeks to go of winter weather and football before the rugby gets anywhere near it.

| Quote ="Bubba"I cant handle the truth about HTAFC/FCHT past? I have probably been one of the most critical hence forming the Supporters Trust (along with Hoddie). Plus I was a Fax season ticket holder for a number of years, so Id suggest I did handle the rugby clubs presence at the Shay
'"
You being critical or the most critical well thanks for admitting it.
And yes got to agree.
We’ve all seen your more faces than the town all clock stances saying one thing on here, all nice as pie and an another thing on there with a full contribution to the Fax out and the rest of the hatred comments levelled at just one group ( clearly you don’t understand the definition of discrimination** see below ).
I suggest you’ve spent more time in that camp in the past and you’re not handling it now are you, the rest such as Hoddie never have and never will but at least he doesn’t try and pretend to be otherwise .
What makes it worse is knowing the history of your own club is calling out another.
Discrimination, intolerance and now hypocrisy, not a nice CV to have really.
(** The treatment of a person or particular group of people differently, in a way that is worse than the way people are usually treated.)
When face to face with other persons, groups do you and the rest on there usually speak to and about them as you do on your forum?

| Still waiting for Fev's accounts which are now over a month overdue. Only a £375 fine but it's so slack ........ a couple of season ticket sales squandered on an avoidable and unnecessary expense. Professional sport run by amateurs.
Happy New Year

| There was a post on twitter from catalan media suggesting that the upcoming challenge cup game could be played in catalan due to finance issues at Fax , this rumour as been quashed by matt shaw but when you look at our fixture list with Sheffield away, barrow home , York away twice there won't be income till fev at home , apparently we need a thousand fans to break even.

| I've read (likely from the same source on X) that there was an agreement in principle to switch the game to Perpignan, which has been refused by the RFL.And suggesting the game will be played next Saturday possibly with a lunchtime kick off.
You'd hope with SL opposition to break 1000, but with the game been on a saturday lunchtime that will impact the attendance. Quite a few local-ish football teams are all at home on that saturday (Leeds and Bradford also with lunchtime kick offs).
Attendance on Sunday was poor, Thatto Heath didn't look to have brought many with them. But still more than Catalan will

| A sign of things to come this season regarding poor attendances, the Championship in particular with the IMG kick in the teeth continuing to alienate fans.
Watching Match of the Day last Saturday, the pundits were delighted to see the likes of Bournemouth and Notts Forest doing so well in the Premiership giving the top a refreshing different look. "Super" League, however, are hell bent on keeping the status quo with the same old teams, slamming the door shut on everyone else. I hope they choke on their own greed.

| All been very quiet from the club about this for some time now.
Today's case is against "Halifax Rugby League Football Club Limited" which is the dormant company. And not "HALIFAX RLFC (TRADING) LTD" which is the active club, Not sure what difference that makes?

High Court Update: Positive Progress for Halifax Panthers
High Court Update: Positive Progress for Halifax Panthers
The Board of Directors are pleased to provide an update following today’s High Court hearing (29 January 2025) regarding the club and HMRC.
Importantly, the winding up petition was not passed. The judge has directed both parties to submit additional evidence and documentation as part of the process.
We want to reassure our supporters that this matter is being handled professionally, and the club remains in honour throughout. Day-to-day operations continue as normal, and our focus remains firmly on preparations for the season ahead.
As always, we appreciate your continued trust and support and will provide further updates when appropriate.

| What I’d like to know is “what would happen if the winding up petition had been passed”.
Is the next step compulsory closure and cease trading immediately or because the club was advised by specialists that they had a strong case and it’s been genuinely disputed even though the judge ruled against the club can he grant a period of time to pay up?

| Baffles me how both hmrc and the rugby club both represented by so called super duper barristers "need more time to gather evidence " how much more time do you need this boring story as been rambling on for months . I can only surmise these barristers are working from home.
