hows dave getting on,?????, not heard anything for a while,

Nothing much has changed since i last posted.
David is still in Pinderfields where they are progressing with the physio.
They are gradually stepping it up and Dave is really trying hard and it remains a long road ahead.
Main problems are still the left side affecting both the leg and hand/fingers which still have very little movement and only time will tell what the end results will be.
What is very encouraging as each week passes is more and more of his memory is returning and you can chat away quite freely now.
Constantly asking about any news on the rugby and how town are doing and is delighted that they are at the top.
I'm sure that Matt and the boys will put that extra effort in for Dave.
He is getting around in his wheel chair using his good hand and his spirits are high.
On that positive note all for now and as ever.

See you at Bradford tomorrow and lets get behind the Fax all the more for Dave that's what he would want for sure.

Without wishing to deviate from the thread too far, was anything announced over what happened to the people who were on bail who were due to answer it in december?

Just a quick update on Dave.
He is still pressing on with the physio and that is as before progress wise.
I was due to go and see him today but had to put it on hold as unfortunately he has contracted "mrsa".
He now has his personel belongings back so I have been in contact through text messages.
He is okay with it at the moment but just something else for him to battle against which I know he will do.
As soon as there are any developments I will let you know.

People with information have come forward. It's just the quality and clarity of information of events on that day have been conflicting, inaccurate, untrue and misleading, so much so that to secure a conviction based on the evidence gathered is a non-starter.
I know the 26 year old and would stake my life that he simply wasn't involved. The other two I don't know.
I don't believe the police have given up on this but sadly, despite their efforts, I think it's unlikely that any further investigation will result in a conviction now.
I saw nowt and I am most certainly not a violent man! I enjoy craic with opposition fans as my presence on here indicates, tho I did keep away for an appropriate time after the assault.
I just can't for the life of me process the notion that someone should get a kicking after celebrating a win after a game of RL. Again sadly, not all fans feel that way!
I really don't want to say owt else or engage in any great analytical debate on this.

I'm sorry if what i put came accross as a dig, it was not intended that way. I get so frustrated at attacks like this and people getting away with what has severely hindered the life of one young man who worked within the ambulance service which in itself is selfless.

Don't want to dilute this too much from thinking about Dave but I must yet again express my disappointment at the Fev fans who did do this or rather their mates who know who they are but are not coming forward with their names.
It still leaves a sour taste that day for me.

Thoughts of a Shayman:-

I for one won't be going to Featherstone this year. No disrespect to the Fev fans that post on here and seem decent but I did find it an intimidating place to go before. And following what happened to Dave (and I hope I'm wrong) there could be 1 or 2 idiots that go to cause trouble. I would not want to see more of that at rugby. Putting what I'd pay on the gate in to a fund for Dave or to raise money for the places he's been cared for is a good idea and I'd be more than happy to do it. Not sure what others think?

Its tricky as it is a good idea for Dave and his family but what affect will it have on our players with no away support?
I am not sure how I will feel when we meet Fev fans again tbh
Not saying I will be having a go at them or anything silly like that but I will feel very uneasy and hope and pray no idiot says something that will incite trouble from both sides.
