Ian, i've met Robin, a good lad who loves his rugby, and we've had many a drink with Dave and Jon. Truly awfull away day right up there with the 70/80 points defeats.Can't think of a single positive in every aspect of the game.Despite a poor first half going downhill we should have gone in at 10-12 not 4-18 as we bombed a try and throw an interception in next play.Game over at that point and the second half was played out of sight with just plentiful cheers from home support as penalties and try's came at regular intervals.

Well what can be said about the game. I only saw one half and left with 20 minutes to go and i never leave before the end but might as well listen to the commentary on the radio i thought , though they had to guess at times!

After the first half it was obvious we would struggle up the hill. Fev forwards made easy yards up the slope while we struggled downhill. That said we gifted them two breakaway tries which they finished with pace.
Pace, i think i remember that, something we are short of across the park. The second one was the turning point , no coming back from that i thought at the time. We give away too many penalties though when a team is on back foot and defending they just come.

Never mind new halfbacks, Ryan and Hagan wouldn`t be able to play behind a beaten pack. The team needs an aggressive forward who can make ground and `upset` the opposition and as many have said before a strong fast centre.
On holiday so will miss next few games hope that I can keep up with everyone`s thoughts while I am away.

Rules... you have to be able to see both posts from the centre spot. Ref called it just about right.
I couldnt see anything from the far side... visibility down to about 50-70m but significantly deteriorated the last 20 mins.
Given the dominance in all aspects of the game i would have been disappointed had it been pulled.
If i had been a neutral i would have expected it have been as the entertainment value was unappreciable.
However, as the rules are, the ref and match commissioner called it right

You almost certainly couldn't see it from the 'fax end. Briscoe's last try, QLT had a good 10 yards start on Briscoe, but when he lit up the afterburners, QLT was left flapping in his wake. Either QLT has got really old really quickly, or he just couldn't be arrised.

This is the proverbial put this one behind you and move on game. At least with the game being completed Fax won't have to go again this season. At least, that is, until we get drawn there in one of the cup competitions. Lol!

QLT has never been blessed with amazing pace he's just one of those players who has made a career out of finding gaps and having great agility, to compare him to Briscoe pace wise would be very unfair.

We don't need wingers with pace, we have 2 centres who can't pass a ball so we have to have wingers with power as they will usually only get the ball making it out of our own 20.

Was funny in the interview afterwards, it souned like Marshall was almost going to blame the conditions and stopped himself. It might not have been too bad for us as fans but the fact for 20 minutes in the 2nd half we didnt manage to get to the half way point made it pretty boring viewing. Not that I think it would have been much better if we could have seen anything.

Tyrer can pass a ball,but not to anyone on the field.

If he'd blamed the conditions for that shambles,it'd be up there with the Strudwick gaffe.

Its part of the minute preview on Fev's twitter. I might be mistaken but certainly sounds like he were about to.

To be fair though he was asked later in the interview if he was surprised if the game was continuing, he said "yeah, but if that was at the Shay and those conditions...you've got to play that, you can't make an excuse....we didn't deserve to win that game, that wasn't down to the fog, it was down to our poor management within the game, and individually the players have got to look at that, and me as coach as well."

On the plus side pre-season is now over and the real stuff starts with Swinton.....

Just heard his radio Leeds interview and he thinks we went well in the first half. He must be dellusional if he thinks us getting rolled coming down the hill is going well. Anyone watch that first half back and tell me we didnt get dominated.

If Brandon had passed to QLT we'd have gone in 2 points down at halftime but that doesn's alter the fact we were dominated and 18-4 was a fairer reflection.
