not long ago barrow were complaining they were not on tv enough. bet they now fed up with tv exposure showing them losing.

think thats a bit silly to be honest. ok we certainly werent at our best, and we are in the middle of what is known as a 'blip'. if you said to any barrow fan before the start of the season that with 6 games to go we will have competed in the NRC final and be second in the league they would be over the moon. Every barrow match that is televised is good for the club and fans- regardless of the result.

Dare I say it, If we win our games in hand I don't think we'll be caught. Although it is a tough run in, a win down in Toulouse could be our best win of the season so far, certainly our most important.

From a Fax viewpoint, it is nice to see that we aren't the only ones that suffer from big game hangover fever.
The result puts our league fate firmly back in our own hands and we need to make the most of it in France this weekend. I think that the inclusion of Maloney should help deal with their strong looking pack and allow us to 'outskill' them in the other areas.

That's good enough for us. In fact, the "winners" get two home draws should they make a hash of the first home match. I think the "minor premiers" also get a little plate/trophy which is always nice.

So a competition which no one takes seriously, played in Chav-ville, and which can be won by a pure fluke with a dropped ball deciding its outcome, is classed as more important than being consistently strong throughout the entire season and undisputedly finishing top of the pile? Bonkers. Total bonkers.

I doubt any team in this league would have gone to Haven and won just 3 days after a bruising final. The 2 first half freak tries set the tone of the match and once Brett and Butler went off it was never going to be our day.

The league table doesn't lie (including 2 VERY close games against Fax). Just keep on thinking we're 'bloody rubbish' and get yourself to the gym so you look your best in your birthday suit



It's our first season in this league and in the NR Cup final and Haven game we fielded 10 local players, a fair few of which are still finding their feet at the higher level.

I saw this game in a bar just of La Rambla in Barcelona, which was crazy.

I did mention in a post earlier in the week that Haven would see you off. Its not that i think your a bad team, in fact you have done brilliantly in your first season in this league. I do however think you are an average team that is riding high due to good team spirit etc. Now you have lost a couple of games i fully expect you to get caught up by the rest of the average teams and expect Widnes to finish above you. I really hope you can prove me wrong and get 2nd because i do believe that would be a lot easier game for us than Widnes but then again i dont expect Widnes to get lucky again either so...
