Overall the team look much stronger than last year. Last year its weakest point was on the wings, and it was lacking a bit also in the second row. With the addition of an excellent centre (Duport) and a good winger (Mendes Varela), the team looks much better on this front. The addition of Worrall and Tisseyre (a very promising player) are also very good for the second row. The only point where the team may have lost strength is in the first rows with Borlin back in St Gaudens.

The team will also be able to sign duals with Catalans which have good young players. I'd expect this team to be in the top 4 this year. Can it make the top 2 and get its ticket for SL? That is the question for the TO. I am definitely looking forward to this season.

Agreed, a stronger squad this season. However, I think top 4 may be pushing it a little. Surprised to see that Borlin has gone, probably your standout player when I saw him last year, any particular reason?

Finishing in the top 2 does not qualify you for Super League, you have to get to the Grand Final to qualify.

Motu Tony is currently playing at Hull RUFC after not finding a Super League Club. Would he be a worthwhile signing?

No, does seem like a pointless signing IMO.

Why? He can play any position in the backs so would be good cover. Played Super League, NRL and for NZ. A player like that would be useful in our league.

I don't always want to come to the overall age issue, but yeh. And someone like him would want first team game time, we'd be better getting a younger player from SL. And I bet Motu also has some good offers already.

That's be the issue I reckon

I suspect that even being in the top 4 would be enough for the RFL if Toulouse presents good credentials off pitch. However, I'd prefer the TO to enter in SL by the front door honorably rather than by the back door. To get in the GF a spot in the top 2 is crucial as it secures two chances to go to the GF, with at least one of them being at home.

I don't see the TO finishing first. Fax seem stronger this year than last year, and I'd expect them to dominate this year, even more so than last year. However only time will tell.

Does 'dominate' mean come second ???

Wouldnt mind Motu Tony at Leigh TBH.....think were missing a impact player and he could be the answer..... still got duel contract players to sign yet and heard a few players mentioned who will do excellent in this league if they come off.
