Wally only played one game against Halifax and that was at Thrum Hall on 12/02/84 in the Challenge Cup. He scored two tries that day on the last of his ten games for Wakefield in a 19 - 7 win .

Yes he certainly showed his class that. Seem to remember more raw power than finesse for at least one of his tries, but the memory does fade as one gets older.

Looking at their fixtures, they play at home to Wigan on Thursday 23rd so I'm guessing they wanted the extra days but it will significantly impact on the crowd!

Rugby was and should be played on a Saturday as it was when i started watching . That is apart from apart from a game on Xmas day followed quickly by one on Boxing Day. Quite a few supporters never went again on Sunday.

Said slightly tongue in cheek , i am almost used to Sunday Rugby now.

Wakey know we are a part time team and have chose this time and day to put more pressure on our players who will be working during the day. I bet Wakey are a bit worried they will lose to us. They are rooted to bottom (

) of SL and have a lot of injuries. I think they believe this is a very tricky game for them.

As the home team in the draw are they allowed to dictate when it's played ?
