Very true John , it was blown up out of all preportions ,nothing was seen of the incident , I think only the players must have heard it , these remarks have been going on for years , I know it doesn't make it right , but name calling is NOT a sending off offence , unless its Racial , having said that where do you draw the line ?Charlie doesn't know

How is racial abuse any different to homophobic? We cant have one rule for some abuse and another for other abuse.

Which is why I included the words "Where do you draw the Line ", trouble is Swearing at a fellow player can be regarded as abuse .

Foul & abusive language is the terminology, i'd say homophobic is certainly abusive, disagree with that if you wish, but it certainly appears to be a sending off offence, if he was actually sent off in the 72nd ( or whatever ) minute of the game, so i guess, more than "only the players heard it" somehow....
