Just looking back on our scores, we originally scored 9.06/20 and our then board put a statement out saying they were confident of getting to 10.5/20 by the end of this season. Im going to have a guess at either 9.07 or 9.18. I think we might see a small rise in score from the foundation turnover and fandom but that will be offset by losing a 3rd place finish and the 1895 cup win dropping off. Obviously it really does not make any difference to us but I think we may drop a little bit further down the overall rankings with London for one whos one season in SL will be enough to bump their score up quite a bit.

Even with significant investment we are stuck with these previous financials so for the next 3 years at the very minimum we won't see much of a rise but in my opinion the IMG experiement, like everything else in RL, will probably have run its course by then and we will be on to the next shiny thing that will send all the money to the top of the sport.

If as TonyFax suggests S L will screen the results, will it not be the dulls at odslum that get the call with the fat controller throwing his considerable weight about and calling favours from previous excursions at red hall?

The IMG ratings aren't going to be straightforward, the timing of the announcement, after every last game has been played is strange.

The Bulls won't be in. I wouldn't be surprised to see their score stay around the same as it were in the mocks. The cynic in me also would not be surprised to see their scores drop slightly once correctly audited.

Does correctly audited translate to gledhill saying there's more in attendance than froch vs groves at Wembley.

I'm expecting a similar score to last year for us. Those of you expecting some sort of conspiracy to get the Bulls promoted need to bin the tinfoil hats. It's never going to happen. We're all stuck where we are until promotion by spreadsheet is stopped or we get a sugar daddy who's prepared to buy his club a seat at the table.

How long we can all carry on making losses is another question.

I think we all agree (for a change!) that the IMG fiasco is infuriating. It's not on a level playing field, how can championship clubs possibly compete with the SL clubs? Had Salford, Leigh, Castleford, Wakey and Huddersfield in particular been in the championship for over 20 years, they'd also be way down the IMG table.

Agree with Greg, I can't see how Bradford can sneak in unless it's at the expense of the one of the clubs I've mentioned above and if it does happen wait for a huge fall out when those aforementioned clubs will all of a sudden claim it's what happens on the pitch and they didn't finish bottom blah blah blah. Also they won't expand the SL to 14, it'll cost other clubs over £200k each.

Yeah I think Phantom Horseman sums it up well on the TRL board where he describes the "incumbency bias" that ensures that if you're in SL already then you attain extra IMG points simply by virtue of being there. There's no "weighting" to allow clubs in the championship to compete on an even playing field.

The SL season just gone was a total farce with London being told they were going to be relegated before a ball was kicked. It's no wonder David Hughes has had enough and thrown in the towel. Just imagine if, after having bought a season ticket, Fax were told they'd be relegated no matter how many games they win. Anyone with 2 brain cells should see how ridiculous that looks.

And will SL risk upsetting Davy and Beaumont in a similar way? No chance. Leigh shouldn't be in SL They're a suburb of Wigan with a tiny fan base. It all stinks. I really hope there's a balls up with a couple of shocks.

It would take a balls up of monumental proportions. I believe the whole process will be carefully designed to maintain the status quo. Licensing was the same. I know some think that if they can build up their IMG points they'll get a fair hearing and get into SL. I'll believe it when I see it. SL clubs put themselves first and nobody is going to vote to lose a share of their central distribution money.

Please don't take the supporters for fools yet again by begging for their money to throw into a black hole.

Yeah, 2 things I've been finding mildly amusing these last few weeks:
- supporters of clubs who'll be outside the chosen 12 believing that the club will increase to their IMG score sufficiently over the next few years to make the promised land
- suggestions that the scoring will be tightened/changed in the next year or so because there'll be Grade A clubs who really aren't Grade A (turkeys aren't going to vote for Xmas, at least not SL ones)

What an exhausting season , getting fed up of this effing bs , no problem with the club struggling but the whole escapade being like a political minefield of truth n lies is getting on my nerves , just say what's going on and get on with it one way or another.

Agree. Greg posts a link showing the winding up petition, there in black and white, but the club issues a statement denying all knowledge. What a shambles. As I say, just wind us up, get rid of the entire incompetent management and start all over again, Even if that means League 1 I don't really care. Glad I didn't buy a season ticket!

A company becomes aware of a winding up petition when it is served at the company's registered office. The company has seven business days to respond before the petition is advertised in the London Gazette.

I imagine the club are aware of it, as the caseboard suggests the club are litigants in person. So the club must have advised that they will be representing themselves, without legal representation.

I wasn't aware that Gazette notices are posted 7 days after the company is made aware, but this would make sense.

Not sure about the caseboard as never seen that before, but if as Bubba suggests the "Litigant in Person" line says the club have responded then god only knows.

One interesting thing, which I mentioned on Facebook is that there are 2 companies, Halifax Rugby League Football Club Limited, And Halifax RLFC (Trading) Ltd. So who knows what is been put up against what company and why? The Trading entity I believe is the "club" as we know it and the other business is "dormant". Again I don't understand the ins and outs of this.

There are a lot of people on social media that are still defending the club saying they may not have known about it. Just a point on that, it is very, very rare that HMRC make a mistake over things like this so there is a decent chance that either the club know they have not kept up to any payment plans or payments due to HMRC or the club are simply not aware that they have missed a payment. The former is not great but we know the club are in massive trouble and the latter is even worse as it just highlights what a mess the club is. Fingers crossed this is some sort of admin error on behalf of HMRC but given the situation at the club its hard to see and its more than likely HMRC are just wanting to speed up the inevitable and put the club out of its misery.
