Seem to remember they said they were setting up a separate group to deal with the img side of things but I don’t know if that has actually happened.

Tbh I haven’t heard anything, walmsey and maizen are currently travelling Europe and are in Barcelona. It appears most of the players are on holiday as well as the media group who have reported nothing in the last week including the recent hall of fame inductees which were incidently , Steve smith , John Bentley , Scott murrell and Steve tyrer . Widdop was with his grandparents at a pigeon flying club awards ceremony but is due to be flying back to oz on Monday, whether he comes back is anyone’s guess . Obviously given Matt shaws reliability Connor Davies and olly Davies have signed .

This time last year we had the same quite spell with the new board taking over. As anyone heard anything about the rumor of a current board member wanting to take full control of the club.

Trying to think about ways to say the information I know without being a traitor to my sources . Appreciate the widdop scenario is very divisive but certainly on the cards but there are a few red tape conundrums to solve . The club are trying to increase revenue streams associated to the shop . The walmsley situation is still unresolved.

I don’t think you can go into more specifics and stick to the “ mums the word “ promise.
Walmsley has been mentioned in other threads and nothing has changed regarding the negotiations so nothing to worry about there and that will resolve itself in due course, generally on recruitment let’s just say if where a player / players are going to leave then replacements are planned.

Also until it’s official it’s only info from a pretty reliable source and things can change in a short period of time but it all should break over the next couple of weeks would you agree with this assessment?

In what will become a common theme, Iain Thornley turning down ourselves and others to stay full time and sign for Wakefield. The second time we have missed out on him now.

We made an approach to Wigan about Thornley when he was being loaned out after he impressed against us at Barrow but then he remained with Wigan due to injuries and featured well for them at HKR.
More recently an offer was made to him but there’s no surprise that Wakefield not only can out bid us but the player would choose to stay full time so that been known he’s obviously not part of the plans and they can’t sign everybody.

Looks like fax are on the verge of signing Jack griffin from the invisible man rfc .

Some handy players being snapped up by very mediocre clubs. Hope we have our eye on the market.

Will Maher to Keighley on season long loan - guess we'll still be covering oart of his wage but probably a good deal for all concerned as would have been very unlikely to play a game for Fax next season.

Yeah quite a bit of movement this off season and it is a slight worry when you see Bradford running such a big squad again while we look like we will be reliant on loans and DR. I just hope in trying to get the Widdop deal done the club are not putting all their eggs in one basket for a position we are already very good in. It may also be a case Fax still hoping to get some cash from Wakey but time will be up at the end of today.
