Bollocks. Have you not seen him play this season? Didnt want to leave? Dont make me laugh, he brought this about all by himself. He is a liability who was probably on as much money as most of our pack combined but probably did about 10% of the work that they put in. Waste of space that has freed up some money, a very good bit of business if you ask me.

I'm sure it will all come out in due course but Sam didn't want to go . However he's now gone . Ok he hasn't done brilliantly this season but he's , when match fit , one of our better forwards who was missed against fev for his go forward.. Lets hope that fax use his wage well , and from what I hear , they will do . Good luck Sam .

The question is if Sam didnt want to go then why every other week for like the past year has he been telling people X team has come in for him offering him x amount? The club called his bluff and now its funny he is telling people he didnt want to leave. It seems the club got a bit sick of this coupled with his half assed performances and the fact that he was probably on twice the amount of money of some players that are twice as good as him and it became a no brainer. So what if he has gone to Fev, its not like he is good enough to get in their team and they will suss that pretty soon.

Not sure you're on the money with that one rickster. There's been texts flying about all season! I'm suspecting as soon as Daryl left the building Sam's move to Fev became much more likely. He wanted it big time. Our BoD certainly appear to be eager for it!
It does appear that our chairman got Fax into a bidding war for his services which have cost fax a massive wedge... and value for money doesn't appear to have been delivered. So a 'sale or return' loan deal to Fev looks a crackin option for us. He divvies up .... fair do's. He doesn't.... send him back to fax and let them keep paying him a wad!!!
Fev fans appear to be spilt in their enthusiasm for Sam's recruitment looking at our facebook page!

Does seem a strange move especially when if he does happen to play well for Fev they dont have an option on him for the next couple of years. I struggle to see what Fev have to gain from it apart from unrest in the camp.

He signed for Leigh for 2 years from next season. Fev can't get us into a bidding war I'm afraid RFF as Sam signed a 2 year deal last Sept!! He still has 12 months of that to go!! I'm not in receipt of all the facts but as far as I am aware it's the fact the club got a sniff of his negotiations with Leigh, could have gone to the RFL for an illegal approach but have allegedly used this as a tool to negotiate something else....??!! Fev merely have a player till the end of season as we were going to make him rot in the reserves but felt it better to get the bad egg out along with his agent........ allegedly!!

I've heard that his agent is a real bellend. Rumours about Barlow's move to several SL clubs came out just after he signed for Fax!! He'll ruin Sam.

I cant even remember his last good game for us although I think it might have been about a year ago. Heart bleeds that he is now telling people he didnt want to leave but its a great bit of business by Fax.

Our BoD in a deliberate effort kept upping the offer to Sam last year meaning that he'd either become a rover then (Oct last yr) OR Fax would have to pay top dollar for his services. As it traspired Fax offered him big money and secured his signature. I will leave it to you to judge whether he's been value for money. ,
This "he didn't want to leave " business I'm sceptical of given the texts he's been sending not that that matters a jot like!

He comes to Fev.... he either plays well for us and gets in the team or he doesn't and in a few weeks he'll go back to being the panto villain again!! Rumours are he's Leigh bound next yr and that contract is already signed.

Personally I'm not as over enthused about Sam's arrival as I have been about other re-signs/signings this last few weeks. I think we have enough without his presence! I will yeild to the expertise and savvy of our BoD on this one and just accept they know more than me on this!!

Aye RFF slightly!! However I also know that Sams contract was for considerably less than Fev were branding about when trying to persuade him to sign although it was his agent and your chairman handling the bidding. Where Sam has come undone is agreeing a 2 year deal with Leigh several weeks ago whilst still only 1 yr into a 2 yr deal with Fax. Leigh could have been in trouble but I believe something had been agreed to benefit us.....!!

Sam as much as he has talent needs to take a long hard look at his ethic in training etc and his attitude as he is already 2 thirds of the way up the "if only you'd tried harder" pile. On his day a devastating forward but if he doesn't apply himself properly is a penalty machine who can hide in games as he isn't fit.

Hopefully will prove a decent bit of business but we will miss his aggression, go forward and off load of the Sam we'd like to see each week. We won't miss the other Sam too much.....

Sam is a gamebreaker. The trouble is you dont know whether he will win the game or lose it with a play! A shame because he has all the attributes apart from an apparent lack of concentration and application.
