Big shame. Was looking forward to the Dewsbury game as it's just up the road from where I now live, but I am afraid that the once in a blue moon posibility of putting one over the Germans will mean I shall not be attending the game. Sadly also think a lot of Dewsbury fans will think the same. Can't see a crowd of more than about 650 attending. Did you see the roads on Wednesday @ 3.05pm??

Perhaps with all the other clubs altering kick off times Dewsbury thought they would be the main match on radio weeds (or are Yorkshire CCC playing on Sunday)

I bet you are right, Dewsbury will lose a lot of money that they would have made after making this stupid decision, it is their ground so after the car boot sale they could have played at 6pm end of story or even Saturday afternoon, but no lets stick to 3pm and get half the crowd (at least) they would have got, their loss.

We're giving Dewsbury loads of grief, but I heard the full story in the pub last night.
The Dewsbury directors would have loved not to clash with the England game and did all they could for it not to happen. Clearly it was not an option to move the game to 6pm. After spending the morning behind a tressle table in the car partk the Directors were entitled to their pre-match pie and peas.
The only option was to move the England game. They phoned FIFA and spoke to Sepp Blatter and asked him to move the England game. Unfortunately Mrs Blatter is a huge German fan and wanted to see the game. As she goes to Bingo on a Sunday night, it clearly wasn't an option.
So, lets put the blame where it belongs. It's FIFA's fault, not Dewsbury's.

Now that the Crusaders (a [size=200Welsh[/sizeteam) have moved their game it seems that there are only two games going ahead at 3PM on Sunday.

These are Swinton and Dewsbury.

I dont know what is going on at Swinton, but come on Dewsbury, move the damn game to either Sunday or Monday evening.

Swinton have now moved their start time. This now leaves Dewsbury on their own, as the only team, probably in the whole country, that will be playing at the same time England are playing.

now IF there are some clever marketears at Dewsbury, they should promote the fact that they are the only rugby game on sunday at 3 pm and just maybe they may be able to get 50 people through the turn styles!

i have supported fax home and away for years now, made careful holiday plans, missed family do's, got wet, cold, sunburnt, even got so daft a few years ago used to go to second team games home and AWAY!

however 3pm Sunday i wil be watching ENGLAND V Germany. as will an overwhelming number of the english population, a handfull of people will choose not to, fine, no issue there from me.

Dewsbury have changed the kick-off to 1pm, the fans coach leaves the Shay at 11:30am. If you're booked on the fans coach but can't make it please let Neil know.

the rfl website seems to think its 6.30 now how have they come up with that 1? better let them know incase any fans are misslead.

Now the dilema is 20 mins to get home for the England match.

Don't panic, you'll only miss the first 2 Germany goals.

I dont mind running 10-15 mins late on sky+ as I can catch this up during the half time.

Makes good sense, should make the crowd go from 500-5000.Come on England.

My thoughts exactly - roads will be quiet too.

Radio weeds doing coverage of england match so you will at least be able to hear England score,then watch one of the million times they replay it when you get home.Living outside Fax does sometimes have its advantages and today is one,only 10 mins from rams ground to home!
