Credit to Barrow. I thought they had blown it but they did well to keep going on the strength of Sundays game...unlucky Fev and congrats to the raiders.

Well done barrow Hard luck Fev. Hope Fax will join them as Widnes certainly do not deserve to be anywhere near a final. The club is a joke with players fighting and the club pretending they are a SL club when in reality they are an average Championship side.

I thought Barrow were gonna stuff Fev .... not because they're great, but because Fev really have gone off the boil.

But it confirms what I thought last Sunday ... Barrow are a very workmanlike team but lack real quality. That Kelly was lively but he's a poor man's penky (abit like comparing tuna with salmon).

Also, I was very disturbed by the HUGE amount of chav inbred scruffy looking creatures in the crowd. Hopefully they won't find their way down to Blackpool, I'll probably have to de-louse mesen on my return!

Well Barrow is sort of "in the country" and you know what they say about country folk

A average championship side thats in the semis and bringing over a thousand fans to your place.Slag us off all you like but we are the best supported club in this league and that is with a average team.We will see you sunday when we show you how to support your team even when they are average and not expecting to win that is called dedication.

Thought Fev were a bit hard done to to be honest. The turning point for me was the penalty with 6 minutes to go when Fev seemed to have the upper hand. Clearly a dominant tackle, ball carier going backwards and was never holding down in a million years.

Anyway please dont blow it Sunday Fax we want at least one entertaining team in the final.

I noticed that mid-day man Noone has gotten into a right whinging old woman, he's spent too long in SL, appealing for penalties every time he doesn't get his own way.

Well....If i was Featherstone i would be fuming. They played an almost perfect game only for the ref to screw 'em at the end with that ridiculous penalty decision. The Rovers player was clearly not held. Disgraceful. Hard lines 'Fev.

I think you will find when we beat Sheffield the other week, Andy Ellis never played due to illness, so the above comment isnt quite right! When he does play its at the same level each week, very good, i would say he is our player of the season so far. Good luck for sunday and will maybe see you in Blackpool!

You've only just noticed that? The first class honours graduate of the school of Toa Kohe-Love has always done that, along with the same sort of play as TKL.

Fev were unlucky they put in a top effort, Barra looked tired after the game against us the Sunday before.
It was a tense game but typical cup match, not great but both sides tried hard.
Barra are just a hard team to beat, not flash but tackle well.
I have nothing against them they deserve some good times but I have to say they are not SL material as a club, no way.
They would need to spend millions on their ground, its nowhere near SL standard and there was not that good an atmosphere saying it was a cup semi final, okay Fev only took about 100 but it was a Thursday night, but you could not hear much from the home fans most of the game.
I hope they enjoy their time while Mr Money bags is around but feel once he goes they will sink quickly back down to lower Championship level.

Not sure about this. Yes, the ground needs improvement, but at least they own it so that's a start. Getting the council or a good sponsor on Board might help to make improvements. Also the weight of the stadium criteria is clearly being over-emphasised as we saw in the last round of Franchises and given the lack of progress at SL clubs it will not be an issue next time round.

As far as crowds are concerned, well Fax can hardly crow as Barrow are matching if not beating their crowds in their first year in the championship despite the excellent performances that Fax are putting on on the field.

Finally, and probably crucially, they have geography on their side. Do you really think the RFL would pick an 8th Yorkshire club over a first Cumbria club if everything else is equal?
