Murrell poor, Bracek gave yards away with indiscipline and overall we were clueless, never looked like scoring in first half, they didn't need to score in the 2nd.
And, while I'm ranting, Tyrer, please stop that pointless step before impact, you lose any momentum you had.

Thats the worrying thing,I thought we had turned a corner but after that team selection for our most important game of the season and the fact he dosnt rate players like Fieldhouse who looked our best player today and has done for most of the season is he the right coach to take us forward??? not in my opinion!!

At 14-0 I thought it could be game over then at 20-0 it definitely was I feared we may get nilled the way we were playing today, bad day at the office as a great turnout from Halifax fans today (Fev's support was well down on past games say 500 tops) and we played like that, ouch!
Fev looked faster and far more creative than us, this game summed up our last 2 years for me, too slow and too predictable you cannot win games when you have a beaten pack and slow half backs, well Johnson apart but Murrell is too slow now put him at loose forward!

Never heard of Charlie Renilson and I thought you knew something about Rugby Charlie! He was a Great Britain Loose Forward in the sixties. Played in the days of Scroby, Roberts, Foggarty, Dixon et al. Can never remember him missing a tackle but then I might be bias, as he was my favourite Fax player of all time

After the Leigh debacle he categorically stated "WE WILL FINISH SECOND".

Just not good enough and outclassed by Fev today

We struggled to ask many questions of the Fev defense. Fev made more yardage, tackled better, broke more tackles and made less mistakes.
We struggled for field position and just made far too many handling errors. The 3 pivots did not work today and we lacked another forward (Sam Brooks).
Not many positives to take from today's game.

Charlie R was my boyhood hero too Kelvin. Though it could easily have been you after you slammed a timekeeper into the wall at Thrum Hall. Charlie would have been proud of that cover tackle.

A bit disappointing yesterday but fair play to Fev they found a weakness and exploited it then shut game down. we havent been able to close a game down when in front like that a few times this season.

Well I feel I must hang my head then , as I have never heard of the said player , I have seen the others play ie. Scroby ,Dixon , Roberts ,and Foggarty ,and remember Johnny Freeman , who I met at the Fax v Leigh game , ive been watching Leigh since 1961 ,the Stan Owen and Walt Tabern era , but don't remember Renilson , and I visited Thrum Hall every year .

If you visited Thrum Hall every year, since around 2000 it's been an Asda, you can order online it's easier than a 70 odd mile round trip, they'll deliver to your door you know. Just trying to be helpful that's all.
