Is there a charity that helps or is tied in with the hospital that are providing dave's treatment, perhaps we could raise some money for that,

Anything we do do though would need Dave's family's blessing, and it can't be asked until the time is right.

Was wondering if their is such a thing as say a big online 'get well soon' type card? Similar to how you would sign a petition but it would allow all fans to wish Dave all the best? Maybe a picture of Fax lifting Championship trophy as the main focus?

i can have a word with Carol Robertson a Representative for andrea's gift if she knows who help out with the hospital dave is in.

Im not on about donations as such, well not at this time, more things to make his immediate environment better, few cards, flags etc?

According to Facebook he was sat up in bed the other day but still not fully concious.

Note: this is only third hand info from Facebook. Do not know how true the info is. Perhaps someone at the club could confirm/deny?

Anyone confirm how the lad is? Nearly a month since the final. Hope he makes a full recovery and the scum responsible are brought to justice.

Dave is still in a very bad way. They reckon it will be many months possibly over a year before he gets out of the Hospital. Dave has to basically get his body strong and then they have to see what is wrong if anything with the Brain and how the body functions. He has shown movement in his arm/hands and his eyes have been flickering but there is no sign of Dave speaking at all yet. According to Docs they have said to Family and Friends its very much about being Patient. Do not expect Dave to return to be his normal self, -he has received major blows to the head which can effect various parts of the body like Memory, Speach, Body Co-ordination etc. Until Dave is really in a better way they cant say or willl not say how bad Dave is. Its very hard to gauge when the Hospital also have to be careful what info they give out as they do not want to get hopes up or fancy being in a mess because they said this would happen and it did not.

I've been looking on here a couple of times a week for updates since this happened.
So tragic, and the scary thing is it could happen to any one of us, nobody knows what's around the corner.

Just you give you an update on Dave's condition from the weekend.
He is a little better and he has was able to hold hands. He has spoken one word and is able to move his eyebrows.. From his reactions he is aware of all that is going on around him, so although small these are positive signs. It is hoped that he will be moved to Leeds as soon as there is a bed available.
His parents are overwhelmed by all the get well messages and wish to thank everybody for their support.

So good to hear that the lad is recovering and I hope he regains full fitness. Still can't believe this happened.

I sincerely hope that he is soon in a position to be back watching this team again.

Still pretty shook up by this incident and i hope and pray the poor lad makes a full recovery or as near to it as possible.

Thanks for the update. Separated by the pennines but united by the love of the game all Warrington fans are routing for Dave.

Local media coverage in Warrington has been limited. Information is that it is not the case that this has been forgotten (far from it!!) but that the media are only releasing information as the police want it to be released for legal reasons and that the police will not say too much for operational reasons.

What about a pre-season friendly between Fax and Warrington at the Shay, all fans could come along and show their support for Dave and proceeds from the game go to Dave and his family.

Officials of both clubs, please get this sorted if at all possible. Let's start the ball rolling.
