Easily one of the funniest things ive read on here in ages. I know people linked with the club have to defend it to the hilt but you are fighting a losing battle, the rot has set in and the majority of fans are unhappy. It isnt very often that a coach turns it around in situations like this but we shall wait with baited breath.......

Do we have to waste anymore time further discovering what we already know!? people get shot down on here for telling the truth, we all see the results and we all see some peoples attitude to the job at hand. We now need some strength at board level, a bit of backbone.
I will once again state that if you look down the table this year, nearly all of the clubs have made some final apart from us, 'Where is this progression'?
The only thing thats going up at this rate is sales of Export Lager and certain peopls ego's.
Even if we win Thursday night im still gonna feel the same, it will only paper over the cracks unless the board set it out straight to our coaching staff that its not good enough.

I'm going to see what happens Thursday but seems thats what most of us have been saying for the past 10 weeks. It also worries me when Callands post match comments are the same week in week out yet nothings changed or improved, that's why people are worried.

Why did we keep putting up high balls direct down Broadbents throat when we know he's never dropped a bloody high ball in his life. Might as well have just passed over the ball to Barrow. It's things like this that gets me.

P.S Haley is class, player of the year for me.

I must admit I have had my doubts aout Calland for a while now, other teams have sussed us out and there is no plan B.

How many poor games do certain players have to play before they get dropped? I know we haven't the biggest squad in the league, but surely dropping one player, where we have adequate cover, is manageable

Look at the big crucial games we have played this year, apart from the Cas game in the cup, how many of these have the players looked 'up' for? Surely he has to get them motivated for next Thursday???

If not, I think it is time for him to go. At least then we have a coach in place for the off season, and he has a chance to bring some of his own players in, rather than waiting til the middle of next season, then having 'it's not my team' as a reason for underperforming

We might be operating well within the salary cap because we don't have the finances to operate near the limit, therefore not have the funds to pay Calland out. The only way we might be able to pay him out is if we win the granf final and 100k, wouldn't that be ironic?!

We've surely got to give Calland the remainder of this season, whether that be 1 or 2 games. I know a lot of people are fruastrated but I can't see getting rid of Calland before Thursday night will help. It would leave us with Bally etc leading the team, not got anything against any of the coaches but it's not the time to change IMO.

If Calland is gone for next season who would people want to bring in?

i have to say if were not careful then we will start slipping into routines in other sports.

am sorry mr manager you have nit won in 5 matches its time for you to be sacked. you have taken us to the highest league position since dropping into this division but its just not on.

its already pathetic enough in football that people get the sack after 2 or 3 months.

yes i can see that we could have finished higher and probably should.

yes Calland might have bad team selection sometimes. his comments might always be the same.

what do you want him to do though. you cant see what happens on the training ground and what he tells the players in them. if a team is playing with absolutely no confidence what do you really want him to say. what could you say to the players that have no confidence at the minute. there isnt a lot you can say.

we need to stick with Calland and think about all the good things and all the positive steps we have taken this year on and off the pitch and go down the shay next week in our thousands and support the lads to the end.

I also have no problems in agreeing with you. This is a three year process, and Calland is learning. No matter the outcome next Thursday this has been the most entertaining season for many a year and I think Calland needs to see the job through to our next Superleague application.

ive bee CALLAND IN all season, however am slipping a little toward the other.

by the looks of it man managment has gone astray massively, we are not playin as a team! is this down to the players or is it his job to sort it? suppose a bit of both.

we played crap last nite, underline it and move on, even tho we didnt really turn up we were in the game at 15-6 and nearly scored, that goes in our favour and who knows? these posts would have been very different!



iv more than enjoyed watching fax home and away this year!

and its down to last chance saloon on thurs, whoever we play, we are capable at beating either fev or widnes, us and them know that...so i predict a tough, proper semi. IF we turn up we could be in a final!

I've stood there all season and watched the same people berate the players even when we've been 30+ points up. It's just inherent in some people. Personally if I didn't like what I was seeing I just wouldn't go.
