Hearing rumours that a number of players have signed with other clubs for next season after the 1st June deadline.

Ben Heaton is going to Fev, and Tangata and Cahalane have also signed with other clubs.

Anyone heard anything?

I hear Mitch was off home at the end of the year and Tangata has obviously got his admirers. I wouldnt be surprised to see him go to SL but to be honest I do not think he has kicked on this season with Grady looking like our best forward by some distance.

Looks like this team has come to it's end then if the above is to be believed. True test of RM then on player selection going forward. I just hope we don't end up with a full team of young kids,due to no money, as next seasons squad as we all saw what happened in the latter part of last season where we were outmuscled and outclassed at times. Throwing one or two quality lads in is great but not a load all at once. Only time will tell.
Hope the ones that are going still perform for the Blue & White until the end of the season though.

It'd be sad to see some players go, but not an awful lot. Just think this team has run it's course, and needs an upheaval. Marshall still best man to run it for me.

Think its common knowledge that Calaghne is thinking of going home at the end of the year - not sure if thats set in stone yet.

Tangata has been watched by a few SL clubs however with him being a quoter player its putting them off. Only Leigh have room on their quoter realistically however they are on the verge of signing an NRL half back.

Not heard anything about Heaton or Jonno signing for anyone else yet

He has. Ten offered a position, his own words. However he doesn't state he is taking it and to be honest if he can't commit to training in the same town he lives etc then can't see him being able to commit to them.

Depends on money offered. Remember Fev are full time next season so will be a good wack

I see Fev are already making excuses - very unfair that theyh're being asked to play Sun-Fri-Wed-Sun apparently.

It seems a pretty decent split for squeezing in an extra game to me.

Strange planning for full time signing part time players for next season isn't it Robin.

Let's concentrate on this season. There may well be some players (for all sorts of reasons) at all clubs that know/have chosen to move on next year, but I suspect that where teams finish will have a significant influence on any movements.

We have 6 games left and we might need to win 5 of them to finish in the top 4. 4 wins might be enough, but we'd need some unexpected help in that case (most likely we'd need to beat Fev, and hope that their cup game knocks them off course somewhere).

I did think when we lost to them that it could possibly be the chance for us to get above them as they may struggle over the next few weeks, fingers crossed.

Why are players allowed to sign for other clubs half way through the season? Just seems daft to me and causes this type of unrest/speculation that we are now reading about. Imagine what is being said within the inner circle of the changing room at training etc. Can't be good for the business end of the season rugby knowing several of your mates have already signed for somebody else next season. Bonkers.

probably something to do with him still being the biggest meter making forward in the team when he was playing. the stats don't lie

Any player who is in the last year of their contract is allowed to speak (or sign) with other clubs after the 1st June.

Is this from 2013 because it certainly wouldnt be this season or last.
