As I posted last night our last eight games against Whitehaven have resulted in seven wins to us one to Haven.
Interestingly the one we lost was at the Shay. (I remember it well

Never an easy game when you go up to Cumbria. It's also worth a note of caution we might be a little underdone having only had 2 trial games. However, looking across the whole squad and likely 17 we should have a little more class in there if things get a little close for comfort. Fax to sneak it by 6. LTD, Whitehaven's ground is the culinary delight that I believe Mrs LTD will enjoy.
Park just outside the entrance to the ground and walk up Whitehaven Way, towards the ground, there is a bar on your right which serves beer at exceptionally low prices, crisps but regrettably no pork scratchings, as you leave there, the turnstiles are on your left, but just to your right there is a burger bar.
Unfortunately no chips. Buy Mrs LTD a burger, and when you get into the ground on the right there is a chip van,
If she has saved her burger, then she has the culinary delight of burger and chips.

I can see a comfortable Fax victory by around 20 points. Whitehaven aren't the force they once were and their coach has just left which will undoubtedly cause some unrest.

One thing that is guaranteed however is that the Whitehaven fans will whinge about the referee from the first minute till the last.

Now that the LTD's have been given the necessary info for their Sunday scran I very warily predict a 10-26 victory in our first outing post KH. Hopefully this is the start of an entertaining and fruitful season.

Thanks for the stop off prompts much appreciated. I hope Fax support is a little more than last time. Crowd was about 750 from memory! Looks like they are having a few problems off the field, reading other posts . Just need to be professional, go about our business and if we do start to dominate-put them to the sword and put our marker down. My misguided Sons are in London for the Rugby Onion game.
Only because they preferred a weekend in London to one in Whitehaven.

To,be fair, Whitehaven away plus Workington is a very expensive away game.
I'm going on my own on Neil's Magical Mystery Tour, leaving at 10.00 £15 for the coach, which is very fair, £15 entrance which is ok.
But, £2.50 for a bag of chips * 5, and £2.25 for a pint * 6 that's a lot of money.

2 days ago i,d have thought you would put 50-60 past us (you may still will yet ) but with new loan signings grant gore , paul johnson and kyle trout from widnes and wakefield and maybe a DR from saints we may have a fighting chance recruitment this pre season as been poor its gonna be hard relying on loans / DR all season at least if they click weve got 2 of the best halbacks in brett seymour and dion aiye
