although i'm happy for town, and havent missed one of there games for about 5 years now and only a missed a couple in the 5 years before that.

i do agree with Sean, this is a rugby forum, you would get the same reaction if someoen posted about the rugby on the football forum, which i believe Swifty has done in the last couple of months and has been shot down in smoke on more than 1 occasion.

Congratulations Halifax Town.won this league at a canter and plaudits are well deserved. Good for the town of Halifax.

Does this mean they play Brighouse Town next season? I saw the players out on Saturday night all celebrating, all dancing round their handbags. Looked like they were having a fab time.

They will be one level below the conference, a fantastci achievment 3 years after going bust.

I genuinely feel the vast majority of fans of both club would rather the other succeed.

Delighted for AFC Halifax - after some difficult years it must be great being a Town fan right now. Hope they secure another promotion next year and then use the momentum for a possible return to the football leagues.

With a town our size and if both teams could get over the general apathy towards them there is no reason why the stadium could not be packed out Saturdays and Sundays showing a bit more local pride through our sports teams.

This is a rugby forum. If we really must have a thread about the diving cheating and arrogant sport please put O/T. If people want to get so excited about the pathetic sport and its fans go on the Town Forum not on here.

I'm sure that will make all the difference now.

Town put message on their website when Fax won title so why shouldn't we do the same and congratulate Town on successive promotions.

Absolutely nothing wrong with it and may I add my congratulations to Town, I dont like football at all, but I like to see local team succeeding, so very well done.

yes, i usually post trying to correct things that have been said on the forum. and yes get shot down each time, some have trouble even thinking fans can support both clubs. i even tried pointing out that town forum was for football not rugby. got shot down again.
but i never stay down.

Well done FC Halifax Town, they deserved to win the title and have a great manager in Neil Aspin, hope they kick on again and get into the Conference.
