Sick to death of the continuous Calland bashing, which will no doubt intensify tonight.

I was concerned at half time, the commitment APPEARED to be void and we looked well beat. But no one can doubt the players wanted it second half.

Yep ... the tactics were wrong, I think we thought we could take it easy in 1st half as we had the slope 2nd half and Batley had a 4 day turn around. But Batley surprised us all, and deserved the spoils.

Calland is an excellent coach ...he's proved it ... and this tough patch will make him stronger. As I've said somewhere else ... remember Fergie 1st 4 years at Man U ... he was ready for the chop.

Callands made this team give him the chance to see the job through and get us back to the form he oversaw earlier in the year.

i will join this cause, calland needs a chance to learn from his mistakes, this is his first real blip as a coach and it make take him a bit to work it out being new but am confident he will.

perhaps we should employ a 1st half coach and give matt the 2nd half coach job

as far as i can see, he has got us to near the top of the league- we may have lost 5 on the spin but everyone has bad runs, widnes had one earlier in the season and thats the reason why they wont win the league out right- they may do better in the play offs. the start to the season is what has left everyone frustrated now but this amount of defeats in a row was not uncommon in previous years.

Well put, faxtastic. It's all about being patient ... again it was obvious tonight we got beat in the half backs ... Handforth controlled EVERYTHING for Batley and Black couldn't, partly cos he's injured. Calland's not daft ... he'll realise what needs to be done and will build year on year until we get it right. Maybe the worst thing that could have happened this season was to have such a great start ... everyone now thinks we should be world beaters!

if he can take the credit for getting us to the top, he's got to take the responsibility for bringing us back down!

You cant blame the coach for the team knocking on, how many times did we knock on in our own half and then get punished with a try, must have been 4 times, we're making too many handling errors/mistakes at the moment

I would have thought with your nickname that you'd remember Joe Kilroy's departure before the end of the 1986 season and without him we only just beat relegation bound York 10-6 at Thrummers and drew 13-13 against "should have been relegated" Fev the last game of the season ... I suppose had we lost against Fev and York you'd have been calling for Chris Anderson's head for dragging us from top spot???

Who the chuff can we be critical about. There is definately something wrong at the club.

This is the same team, the same coach that was playing stunning rugby,and beating all commers for the first half of the season.


I am 100% behind the team and still hopeful that we can turn it around against leigh and Toulouse at home , but by heck it gets tougher week on week.

We have no one else. It's alright everyone knocking us having no half back ... but serious suggestions AT THIS STAGE OF THE SEASON? We didn't appear to need one earlier on when Black was playing like a man possessed. No one readily available at the mo, as I can see.

It was Calland who told everyone we were world beaters he said there wasn`t another team in this division could get anywhere near us.Then he was right it`s not the same now, I would say we could be beaten by anybody.Wish we could turn it round somehow .

When we were playing messmerising rugby everything was sticking and all the players were playing with 3 legs. Batley, Sheffield and Whitehaven aren't carp ... if it doesn't stick we'll strugglle ... we ain't got a team full of full time Jamie Peacocks who SHOULD win at this level.

Anyway .. I've done my fair share of debate tonight ... maybe I'm right, maybe I'm wrong .. but I'm off, seeya'll

Look at the stats for heavens sake, were poor, who's fault is it?
I don't think its Batleys, or any other team, its HRLFC. Who prepares the team, who picks and signed the team, who is supposed to get them ready?
