Still a quality player - if he can play centre. Would depend on what sentence he receives. I would guess if he doesnt get a custodial sentence and he is fit, there will be a number of clubs after him.

SL Clubs would obviously be favourites to sign him but wuth the current situation with KR, Cas and Saints, would any club want to tarnish themselves?
And like you said, fitness will be vital. Only 54 games in 4 years at Wire!!!That is shocking!

Without wanting to dwell too much on the Pryce/Reardon court case, Mathers has been very poor for Wigan in the games I've seen and I'm not surprised he's been booted out.

Lets hope Saints follow suit.....

He is injury prone and will not offer us too much. Keep away from them type of signings! I would rather we go after people like Flanaghan, James, Kopcak etc on loan deals or better still signed up. Young guys who have come through a SL academy and have a good attitude and work ethic and do not have "Problems" or injury prone!

That's a good point. Our loan signings over the last 2 seasons have been excellent, with the possible exception of Coyle. suggests to me good connections being well used

I tell you what i wouldnt mind us getting in contact with him and get him to keep himself in shape in prison so when hes released he comes to us on a (initially) month by month basis for a while. would be a quality signing.

agreed. the lads been roughly treated by the courts for an innocuous offence. get him signed on a rolling contract basis well be scoring for fun (even more)
