If we have signed him then the question is why? If Leigh have signed him and Fred has come on here for a reaction then he probably wont get one.
Good guy and did a fantastic job for us, last season though he will admit himself he wasnt anywhere near his best and afterall, father time catches up with us all eventually.

He was sat on our bench before the game against Leigh along with Miles Greenwood.

He wouldn't have been used as a player at this stage of season. Maybe as a back-room staff person, although even then we have Bally and Gene. Good player, good guy like but would be a pointless use of wages at this stage really in my opinion.

its good to see we are still loooking to sign new players to strenghen the sqaud, i am sure Matt is not happy about a potential signing being stolen away at the last minute, its not the first time this has happendedtho is it!

From Smiths point of view at his stage in his carreer, the chance to work with Millward swung it, especaily as he already had one foot in the coaching camp. he will no doubt be shadowing Milly to see what gems he can gleen

Lets keep our eyes and ears opening for some more signings in the near future, there is obviously some money in the war chest!
