Its as you say Sean, a small section. Most Leigh fans are great rugby league followers who give and take a bit of banter, its just the few idiots that unfortunately all clubs have.

Could be a worrying time for Leigh as today Castleford have been hit with a £40K fine for homophobic chants against Thomas when Crusaders played at The Jungle

we are getting these accusations every home game lately, if it's true, then it's not 'us lot' on the terraces, must be a few pr1cks in the seats. I was calling him a 'fat little git' though, after he went in with his knees on Donlan though

So far the accusations have been that there were some individual comments , not ' chanting' or a group singing in unison , I would suggest that the comments made were more ' descriptive ' than abusive , like I would use the words ' Fat , bald , ginger or yorkshire '

None of this surprises me. Starbug keeps a respectable profile online but at matches I bet he is a nightmare and don't get me started on Snowy.

What surprises me is that, in these days of technology, no-one has used their mobile 'phone to either photograph or video these alleged racists/homophobes. Although, on a thread on this forum crowd photographs were used to identify the alleged abusers. Whether anything is done....

I write on here just for the record and not to stir anything up that has not already reached a ridiculous level,but for the safety of fellow rugby league supporters.
Anyone who knows me,knows that I revolve my life around TRUTH.It is a core part of my life,not like rugby league,which is just one of my many hobbies.
My previous posts on this topic have been the complete truth.I am in no way surprised at the notices on the Keighley forum.Since my letter in League Express and correspondance with Rugby League HQ,Leigh and Halifax RLFC,I have not had a response never mind apology from Leigh.
It is obvious that nothing has yet been done about this.So the main question arises.....Will it be?
I have already decided never to visit The Leigh Sports Village EVER again.As someone who runs a business in the local community,if I ever have a complaint I personally deal with it immediately.Its over a month down the line and no response...its simple they aren't bothered about me or my friends custom..

Also if the so called supporters of Leigh are people like peawapp "what an absolute pile of crap" and charlie caroli "I've heard very little racist comments by Leigh fans and feel most away fans accuse us of this to stir things up" it is not a stadium I wish to visit.
My experience was a constant 80 minutes of personal threatening behaviour mixed in with racist comments oh and the swearing every 3rd or 4th word!

Even moreover this pathetic obsession over the number of supporters a team has.If your team is a success you have more supporters than if it loses all the time;thats about it!
The main thing for me is that I go to the rugby and I couldnt care less whether there are 100 or 10000 there.The only sad thing is that if we are still in the same division as Leigh next season that will be the only away game I will miss.
What I witnessed on my visit to Leigh can only be described as disgusting!

Everyone is entitled to an opinion.
The vast majority of Fax, Keighley and Batley fans had no issues with the vast majority of Leigh fans. If I went into print about everything I had witnessed at RL grounds the sport would be branded the worst in the world and its fans monsters, and that includes the above clubs.
I cant comment about why the club hasn't responded, maybe its in the hands of the police

, maybe its because of going into the media first, a bit like damned if you do and damned if you dont.
I am sure the police will deal with this and bring closure, as it was a real incident of note. I cant wait to make up stories like the other two though, I am going to stand in the middle of the 100 or so Batley fans and politely wind them up for 80 mins, that should get me sufficient content for a good letter.
Let this run its course and grow up, with a bit of luck we will see the guilty prosecuted.

Please get in the real world. Wherever you go you will hear comments that offend you. So a couple of people in your earshott are racist' homophobic' anti fat people' do not like ginger hair or muslims' people in say Dewsbury or batley or smooth flow bitter or illegitimate people. I am surprised you do not stay home 7 days a week.

How many accusations against Leigh have resulted in prosecution, none and don't say its because the club or police don't care, the police would follow any accusation up involving a sporting event.

I am sick of the society we live in where a couple of comments or swearing by individuals results in one or two individuals venting their spleen and causing anguish to the 99.9% of people who do are innocent of anything untoward.

I love my club,I love our stadium and I love my fellow fans and town and to be honest I hope no Keighley fans come to Leigh next year as it will cost too much money to build the sound proof box to put all 50 of you in.

Are you suggesting that all chants are to be punished by fines, if so say goodby to the game quicker than the RFL can say "closed SL what a good idea". If the Leigh fans sang this song (must have been a whisper) I would take no offence and would actually find it quite funny. There is a BIG difference between banter and abuse.

Soss, I am pretty sure it was just a wind up by Starbug in the first instance and was no doubt prompted by recent accusations relating to visits to the LSV.

And were it true, the reason you would have heard nothing is because there were not enough Leigh fans there to be heard above the seagulls, nevermind be heard above our lot.
