does any body know whats happening with the corner of the stand by the south stand bar is that getting gladed as well? i hope so as the stand is looking great.the corner im on about i think was going to have offices in when the stand was started ten years ago

Been round the new stand this morning and it looks very impressive to say the least. The hand over from speaking to the blokes down there is next friday,they seem confident things will be done on time.

I asked about the corner and there is no plans to do anything with it and will be left, as the annex was all down to carnegie getting involved. This is a shame as it will detract from the stand. Cost so they said was not cheap and with no plans/usage for the place it would be difficult to place windows etc... The suggestion that I would make is cover it in with some form of white plastic sheeting for the time being, would look a damn site better than it is. Maybe the club could sell advertising space on it, large banner style etc...

Defintley need to get some contingency in place for that corner area.
Otherwise it will detract to some degree from the finished East Stand.

Even if its temp cladding or covering of some description.

When the Stand opens we will have a reasonable amount of media exposure & profile both locally & nationally.
It would be advantageous to promote the Clubs & the ground to its best ability.

If both Clubs are serious about advancing their cases & future ambitions then this should prove to be a test of that resolve.

This is what I suggested a while ago, do something like Arsenal did when they rebuilt a stand at Highbury behind the goal. Even if its covered in large advertising, wouldnt look as bad as an empty shell.

That would be disappointing. Yes - the main stand and what lies within it is important to generate revenue but that side of the ground will still be an eyesore. The East Stand in it's entirety will still be unfinished. It will still give our detractors ammunition to have a dig (more of an annoyance i suppose). Will the RFL see it as still "incomplete"?

How about placing the score board there?

i must admit the stand is looking brilliant with the seats put in, all we need now is an electronic scoreboard to put in the corner, good times!

is it me or have some of the seats been taken out again, all seemed to be in earlier.

Some have been taken out because they forgot to leave space for the stewards and the half-time roller skating Martini Girls.
