For what it’s worth overheard chatter on the terraces today mentioning currently looking at bringing in 7 with 3 already over the line.

I could be wrong but from what i have heard it is a done deal along with one of is team mates.

If you have signed him, that's. one of the signings of the season. Been impressed whenever I've seen him and was a stand-out yet again yesterday.

Yes on the same forum Louis Jouffret, Haven to Fax, some we have already heard of from various sources are Walmsley, Haven to Fax, Gee, Leigh to Fax and Joe Keyes, HKR to Fax and working hard behind the scenes with up to 3 or 4 more being targeted.
All on the rumor mill again for what it's worth.

Might just all be a cunning plan to distract us while we are playing crap.

If we lose on Saturday we will need a distraction for a while at least. As for recruitment from what i have been told we could be in for a bit of a overall squad wise this offseason and going with a bigger squad for next season. It is nice to see the club showing some ambition with there thinking towards next season playing wise. There is a lot of uncertainty around the sport but this shows a positive response from the club if these rumors are true.

On rugby league live it says we are close to signing kyle wood from wakey its starting to get interesting on the recruitment front.

Going to have a pretty good team next season by the looks of it. With Leigh struggling for numbers with so many leaving we might be somewhere near a genuine challenge.

I think Fax are in a fortunate position in that some of their natural rivals for the signings they are rumoured to be making either are set at that position or, in the case of Leigh, seem to be in a bit of disarray.

Walmsley might have been on Fev's radar but with Gale and Hall already signed on and a Luke Briscoe return possibly on the cards there wasn't really an obvious opening for him, plus he was absolutely beasted by Gale twice on the only occasion we played Whitehaven so perhaps didn't impress us as much as others (though he still played well and is obviously very talented).

Equally Fev have Connor Jones and are heavily linked with Mattie Wildie so Kyle Wood wouldn't make much sense for us, likewise Keyes with Holmes and Chisholm signed up and Nu Brown still not announced by any SL club.

It does seem that Fax have managed to be more proactive than the likes of York (who have been quiet so far at least in terms of rumoured signings) and Bradford though so depending on what approach Beaumont takes they could be the main challengers to Fev or Toulouse next year, although the rumoured signings for Newcastle also look strong. The only thing I would say is that I thought signing Worthington, Robinson, Harris, Murray and Springer prior to this season would see Fax take a big step forward but that didn't really seem to happen. The players rumoured for next year do look much better though

Looking at the situation it does seem that the Fax board have taken the strategy of accepting this season for what it is and making sure that our club is at the very least in the top eight next year, i.e. qualifying for the two leagues of 10. I think saying “the board have taken the strategy of accepting this season for what it is” is a bit harsh. (I may be misreading your intentions) but we have finished 3rd In The league. This is our highest finish since 2014! 7 years since we finished 3rd. So I feel we need to give the board and especially the squat and coaching staff a fair bit of credit. Yes, I agree it has been difficult at times to watch and try to understand what’s going on behind the scenes but sometimes that isn’t for the public/ supporters to know. We also won 9 on the bounce. When was the last we did that?
If these signings turn out to be true it seems that everyone has been working hard this season to secure them well before the end of this season. Well done the Panthers !

I have to agree that 3rd is probably as good as and more than better than most people thought at the start of the season so well done to all att e club for that. Saying that it has been an up and down season with some strange decisions regarding squads and players.

What I'm saying is the board are accepting that the top two, having spent what they have, are 99.9% certain of contesting the final to get into SL and more than likely the winners of that will be relegated the season after. Knowing that, they've taken the decision to make sure we make the cut for the rumored two divisions of 10.

Hello phantom you say that we are in a fortunate position but i just see it as good recruitment by the club getting in first and as you say being proactive so to speak. And could you not say that both fev and Toulouse are in a fortunate position by being in a league where they have far more spending power then most of there rivals. Not having a go it is what it is and hopefully we will be facing you in a couple of weeks time if not good luck in the rest of the playoffs.

I posted a couple of weeks back that even with Springer, Hewitt and Borough we were at least still 3 or 4 players short.
Once, for one reason or another they had gone there was no way Fax could have brought in those numbers of players of the right caliber either permanently or even temporarily this year so the recruitment focus was on next season.
Just hope there is some substance to the rumours.
