Has anybody heard when tickets for the widnes game going on sale? I’m hoping for a Panthers win. Viking’s 14 Panthers 18

I’ve been on their site and nothing comes up. There is page about our game but no ticket information or links to buy tickets

Despite our fantastic run and Widnes' poor form i cant see us getting owt from this game. Simply, we are running out of players especially forwards. Having two suspended for this week only adds to our current situation. A game too far for us this weekend I fear. I hope i'm wrong but going for Widnes 25v12 Fax. Up The Fax!

Widnes are awful and even short of numbers but with a week off it is a game that we should really be winning. We probably only need to win one of our remaining away fixtures to get 3rd and with the other two been Fev and Haven this will be our best chance.

Got my tickets sorted yesterday it looks like we will be in the south stand corner again. As for the game this is a hard one to call listening to simon about our unavailable players for this game there could be quite a few missing. Tangata and larroyer both banned robinson hasn't passed is return to play protocols yet and woodburnhall went off against newcastle will he be fit to play and morris and garside both missed our last game too. Barber may have to move back into the pack this week to fill one of the gaps there. As for the game i will go for 20-22 to fax but i am not very confident with the players we have missing

Think we need to be getting a few on loan the ammount of budget freed and not replacing players we are running short. York seem to have loans in each week so they must be some forwards out there.

Could of done with Amir back but at the moment as it stands with the players we have i cant see past a win for the scousers

A strong squad on paper announced - the problem being that we have no way of knowing just how many are actually fit to play. As the squad is now so low on numbers the weekly squad announcement is now largely meaningless as Grix just has to put down everyone we've got signed up. On a more positive note, pleased to at last see Jones in the squad and really hope he gets a spot on the bench.

Spot on it is guess work these days with squads who is actually fit to play. If the players in the squad are all fit this is the side i would pick.

Not enough players to name a full squad is a worry. Tibbs, Jones, and Davies probably there as tokens if Rawsthorne, Garside and Morris are fit.

Looking at Widnes forum reassuringly they are saying almost word for word the same thing about the make up of their squad which is being padded out with players unfit to play

I love the bit where they say they are in line for a drubbing. Yes we are on a fantastic winning run but our form the last few weeks has been sketchy to say the least but winning becomes a habit.

Also sounds like their fans want to plan for League 1 talking about signing Sam Brooks and Gavin Bennion.

JONES Hope the lad makes it back after an injury like that . All I would say is whether your knee hurts or not just strap it up before a game and you will keep playing well into your 30s . It's just like fingers you always strap the ones that have previously broken . The longer you play the more gets strapped up , fact of life .

Saw a picture of the squad after training at Siddal - everyone there apart from Jones which makes me think his name in the squad is just to make up the numbers. I'll be delighted to be proved wrong.

Yeah probably just naming all available players. Jones probably needs a lot of game time in a lower league and see if he can develop his game. He is a long way off championship level.

He's been playing @ Hunselt for most of the season.

Early doors after his injury but by all accounts not been pulling up any trees at that level.

I didn't speak to a single person before the game who thought we were going to win and as good as the winning run has been I think that just reflects how short our squad is at this point. To be fair though listening to Grix's interview afterwards I think he summed it up perfectly saying it were up there with the Oldham game performance wise and we did not look like a team on a good run and had just had a week off.

I thought Calcott did a good job and he is one of the squad players that can come in to the team and not look out of place, the rest unfortunatley are not up to the task. They try hard but ultimatley we are a team in the playoffs with an outside chance of promotion and not a mid table league 1 team. Obviously that is not their fault though.

With Robinson back next week and guarenteed a spot after that performance its going to be a really hard decision who he comes in for as both Grix and Harris were as bad as each other and the squad does need a bit of a shake up. No mention of new players in the interview this week so we assume we are going with what we have so we need to pray for a bit of luck injury wise when we get to the playoffs.
