Not sure what to expect this week. Leigh look to be well above the rest this year. But they missed a game last week which can have a negative affect. Not sure when we last won at the Leigh sports village so will go with

Heart hopes for Fax to put on a real performance and pull off a shock.

Of all the matches so far this will at least be played in close to something like "normal" conditions and be a proper game of rugby league without the extremes of the weather playing a part.

It will be the biggest indicator to show SG where we are at as a team and how individuals stand up to the test against one of the best sides in the division.

Sadly I won’t be at the game this week end at the LSV , we are in Birmingham at Crufts,but it should be a great game , and a perfect pitch.
We have very few if any injuries ,and a big squad who had a rest last week.
I’m not sure who the halves will be Reynolds will play partnered by either Josh Woods or Jarrod Sammutt,it’s our pack which is so strong,we have Mason,Gerrard, Hood, Thompson,Helliwell,and Addy , with Bienek,Ioane,Grohl ,and Wildie on the Bench,for me Fax will do well to keep Leigh winning by under 20 points,our defence has been good only letting in 3tries all season ,my forecast is Leigh 34 vFax 10.

Leigh win . If Summat plays we know what a class act he can be . Our pack has not been at their consistent best this season with the exception of Fairbank. Charlie saying Leigh pack is strong.
Just think Leigh will have too much for us. Leigh by 18.

Chazzer, Sammutt hasn’t played a game this season, but could play on Sunday, will Duffy change a winning team?Then I’ve been told McNally may not play,his place would be taken by Ryan Shaw who we signed from Leeds Carnegie a couple of weeks ago.

I think Craig Mullen will be given another game if McNally still hasn't recovered, Ian.

I'm looking forward to Sunday - the games with 'Fax are often 'nail-biters', plus we may have forgotten how to play, after a week off!

Interesting choice of ref - Vella - I think he's Australian.

Everything points to a big Leigh win so its essensially a free game for us because its not one anybody had us down to win before the start of the season.

On a side note we are not really a team that has a habit of producing shock results, so when was our last true shock result?

Looking at it from another angle, we need to make up for the loss of those two points in the shocker against Dewsbury. Win this one and it would be fair to say Fax are back on track, Challenge Cup apart that is.

I know my post on Sunday may gave not gone down well with all but that was my point.

It's still early and have only lost 1 league game.

If in May we are getting tanked every week then fair enough.

We seem to have recruited in key positions where we struggled previously.

I still dont think we will make top 5 given how much other teams gave spent.

Think fev leigh and Toulouse will be the teams in 1 to 3 cant call the last 2 positions yet...maybe London.

For me when we put 60 on Fev at POR circa 2013 and won 32-6 (ish) at Leigh around same time..

Think it will be a very tough game, Leigh by 20 possibly. The Dewsbury game was an annoying loss but they showed last week that they will win a few games this season so not all doom and gloom from it.
We just need a strong showing this weekend, especially from the pack, and hopefully I will be proven completely wrong with my prediction.

Losing at home to Dewsbury in first game didn't end too badly in 1985/6.....

You'd think if there was ever a case to use DR it would be for games like these.What an utter waste of time,get it scrapped so we can all focus on our own lads.
