Is anyone going? Are you confident? A month ago I would have had this down as a Fax win. Now, after the performances to date, i'm not so sure. Undoubtedly we are more than capable of going to POR and getting the points but not if we repeat the three previous displays. Let's hope our pre-season has ended now and we can show our best form and get what would be a vital win to really kick start our season. Up The Fax!

Pete , after watching both Fax and Fev in the last 2 Leigh games I feel I can predict a Fev win by about 12 points.When we played Fax we were very poor , not much in attack or defence, but last week we had improved vastly to beat Fev, for me the Boas brothers will get better as the season progresses, they run the Fev team, but Fev have a fine Aussie hooker and a mobile pack, and with home advantage should be enough to see Fev win.
For me Fax lack ideas , though enthusiasm is there to see,Anyway a Fev win.Charlie knows.

I still haven’t figured out our display in the Batley game so like you not so sure on what to expect next.

Prediction, a close run affair but due to the same old problems with discipline and consistency and conceding too many points as a result, Rovers by 10.

Going,but with no great expectations.Squad listing looks pretty drab with no Reece-Chapman,Butler and no use again of our pathetic DR policy.They tend to turn up when i begin to write them off though...

Having now seen the squad Ben Kaye will strengthen us up in the middle if he plays so revised result is Fev by 8.

Ive seen nothing this season to suggest we can win this one.

Not their today Robin but followed it on twitter and it sounded like a rout and I bet our pack got rolled over today.
We’ve never replaced Callahane, Tangata and the likes of Maher.
Fax on paper were close to, if not at full strength today and this makes it 130 points conceded in the last 4 games to negatively complement our clueless attack and rank discipline.

This is what happens when you have no meaningful preseason and don’t address the self inflicted issues when the season gets underway.

After the Fax v Leigh game I was accused of being disrespectful putting Fev and Fax in the same group as Leigh, well after today maybe I was wrong

we beat Fev comfortably last week. The season has a long way to go yet, but our performances are improving.Fev won’t be far off either.

Pete in some ways I admire your stance in what you believe in, but Fev fans are not all bad, Dave Fevgrinder,and his mate Jon are prime examples, real good blokes I’m proud to call friends, as for your dislike of DR again I admire your stance, but we have to move with the times, we at Leigh and Fev find needs must and benefit from the system.
We lost today but the sun is there to see, Leigh fans ready to accept the warmth and feel we showed enough blossom to deserve applause.Next week will be difficult , this League is so good,and June is a wonderful month.

Wouldn't have made much of difference if Pete had come over to Fev Ian. The fog was that bad he wouldn't have seen owt anyway!

Fog.?It was like a warm late spring afternoon in Leigh yesterday Robin,though it always feels a touch cold in the West Stand,but it’s nice to be here.I hope you are well, I was impressed with the Boas brothers last week and think they will be a good investment by Mark.Im already looking forward to my next trip and visit to the Top House.

Ian, i've met Robin, a good lad who loves his rugby, and we've had many a drink with Dave and Jon. I've been to all day tournaments at POR when my lad played for King Cross, great times but maybe I am too stubborn for my own good at times. Anyway the only way is up as they say. See you soon. Ey-up Robin. Putting allegiances and points gained/lost aside, should yesterdays game have continued in those conditions?

Truly awfull away day right up there with the 70/80 points defeats.Can't think of a single positive in every aspect of the game.Despite a poor first half going downhill we should have gone in at 10-12 not 4-18 as we bombed a try and throw an interception in next play.Game over at that point and the second half was played out of sight with just plentiful cheers from home support as penalties and try's came at regular intervals.

Well what can be said about the game. I only saw one half and left with 20 minutes to go and i never leave before the end but might as well listen to the commentary on the radio i thought , though they had to guess at times!

After the first half it was obvious we would struggle up the hill. Fev forwards made easy yards up the slope while we struggled downhill. That said we gifted them two breakaway tries which they finished with pace.
Pace, i think i remember that, something we are short of across the park. The second one was the turning point , no coming back from that i thought at the time. We give away too many penalties though when a team is on back foot and defending they just come.

Never mind new halfbacks, Ryan and Hagan wouldn`t be able to play behind a beaten pack. The team needs an aggressive forward who can make ground and `upset` the opposition and as many have said before a strong fast centre.
On holiday so will miss next few games hope that I can keep up with everyone`s thoughts while I am away.

Rules... you have to be able to see both posts from the centre spot. Ref called it just about right.
I couldnt see anything from the far side... visibility down to about 50-70m but significantly deteriorated the last 20 mins.
Given the dominance in all aspects of the game i would have been disappointed had it been pulled.
If i had been a neutral i would have expected it have been as the entertainment value was unappreciable.
However, as the rules are, the ref and match commissioner called it right
